I think you play for fun at least as much as for profit, and your enjoyment of the game is enviable.

I mentally categorize some of your selections (JoB) as for-profit, and others (Deuces Bonus short-coin) as for-fun. Balance can be good.

So far pending the storm getting worse, it looks like a solo trip tonight. Already have a room reservation. If I go, because my jackpot has vanished, I will be playing with nickels using the Clone on regular Deuces Wild, but it will be on an 800 for bet one machine, hoping for a Royal or dealt quad Deuces like a recent trip. That trip resulted in a hand pay only because I was using the Clone. With a 400 bankroll it will be nickels only. Since I have already Mede the Ascend tier level before the 9/30 cut off, there will be no need to bet wildly, no pun intended. I will start by waiting for six consecutive losses before raising my lines bet and see how it goes. By raising the lines only and not the amount per line bet, you must have good dealt hands to walk away a winner. I will most likely play triple Spin Poker. Anyway, may write some more later tonite as the session progresses. So far it looks like 2 more days of rain and some wind, but nothing over 40 mph or so. Even that can be risky with a saturated ground and trees still full of leaves. Our trip to meet up with family members tomorrow at Mystic just got cancelled due to weather conditions. Soooooo you know what that means. I’m not one to sit on the couch in front of the tube for hours on end. I even get plenty of walking in at the casino because it is so big. I never really learned to walk at a leisurely pace. It’s just under a run. Best excuse I could come up with anyway.

Thanks. Still at the casino, but all done playing. Will be heading home after some rest and light lunch later. The trip ended up well so far. I started out with 20 in free play and was able to get that up to over 100 on Triple Spin Poker Deuces Wild. An awful pay table around 96 percent, but the Clone pulled me through even without hitting a Royal. I upped me bet to dimes after it looked like the way I was playing was working OK. My bets did get pretty high, but with so many lines, the variance wasn’t too bad. I ended up just around 300 bucks. No complaints. The weather up was terrible. The ride home looks to be a bit better. Next trip is planned for tomorrow with the Mrs. I plan to stay with low denomination rather than hit the ATM. Everyone stay safe and well also. Some pics are attached. I finished up on dimes.

Thanks. I’m not sure long term on the EV because I usually jump around too much and end up losing. This trip is pretty easy to figure because based on the number of tier points I earned and knowing roughly how much coin in is needed for a tier point, I can calculate it. I stuck to the rules to this trip which is rare, but I forced myself to with a 400 buck bankroll. This should be accurate to within 1 percent
Roughly 10,000 coin in and 10,300 coin out. Equals 1.03. If I could do this every trip, I would be very satisfied. It was a long session though. About 9 hours not counting a few breaks. Only about 20 spendable points were earned. Those went into the gas tank, so I guess that would up the EV just a bit. Like .002. Again this is only one session. Just like you can catch a windfall session, you can catch a horrible dud streak and bust a bankroll between 1,000 and 2,000. The way to avoid that is cut your losses and quit, or start over with a minimum bet following the same rules. Also worthy of note is Iwas not dealt any windfall hands this trip. The potential is there however. Just before I packed it in for the trip, my bets had reached 9 bucks a deal. Tooooo. Much!! With a 400 buck bankroll. However, a dealt Royal would have landed 7,200 bucks and dealt quad Deuces 1,800 bucks.

I guess it's no secret that I disagree with essentially all of that. Can I just note an irony? You're one of the most experienced vp players alive, so if experience is key to success, you're in the catbird seat.

But more often than not, you seem to dismiss historical results. You must have played the 96% Deuces game many times before without notable success, but if you try it again and get 103%, then it's a 103% game.

To me it's still a 96% game.

Yes it is a bad 96 percent game, but I have only tried it a couple of times on Triple spin poker. Anytime I got greed, is usually when I lose. I am actually going up tonight and with Mrs. I plan to play the same way, just not jump the gun and not wait long enough before heading the bet up. I will keep track of how it goes. This time I will have a 700 bankroll. 400 plus the 300 I won. Just a bit better. I may send pics as I go so the gang if anyone is interested how things progress. I will keep it easy to follow start with 2,000 nickels
