Interesting All Star machine found

Post by olds442jetaway »

I found just one of these machines at Mohegan Sun. If I plugged in the correct pay table which I think I did, it is a 98.8 percent return on a Bonus Deuces Wild game. The kicker is and I don't mind it at all is you have to set the machine on spin poker and it is a dollar game. That sounds too rich at first until you look at the pay table and see that the Royal pays 800 for 1 with just one dollar bet. That means you can get that return by just playing the center line at bet 1. I found this machine late in my last session and as far as I know, there is only one in the entire casino. Instead of playing it for the hour I had left, I scoured all of the machines looking for another one for my next trip. Nope. I did however find the same machine in a quarter version that pays 98.2 percent. Not as good since it pays one less for the straight flush. Unless it disappears, I guess I will have to save the dollar one for Fla Phil for his next trip up north. When I do play it which will be soon, I may try and cover up the other two lines that show on the screen so I won't have to see the cards I missed by playing one line. My guess is the casino will frown on it, but I'm bringing a manila folder anyway I can cut up and place over the other two lines. We'll see what happens. The pay table on the dollar one is 20/13/4/3/3/1/1 and the wild royal does pay 25 to one. The rest of the premium hands follow the usual schedule for this game.

Hey Olds, if the casino complains tell you have narrowed vision or just place black tape across your bifocals so you only see the middle line. Works for me every time.

Thanks for the LL. Unfortunately, I can't get used to progressive lenses and switch glassed depending on what I am doing. So far, I have found that by playing 3 lines at least, keeps me from missing a session where I do not hit quad deuces. Five lines is even better, but of course more expensive if there are no Royals. I played the quarter version of the machine above on the last trip and did quite well despite the Royals that have again vaporized for several months now. I am finding I like the Bonus Deuces Wild game better despite the wilder swings because I don't have to draw to inside straights like in regular deuces. I hate doing that, but I know long term, the math calls for it. Hitting the quad deuces with the Ace is as the old commercial said..." double your pleasure double your fun ". The newuns won't remember that line, but I bet you do. I think we were both in high school when that one came out.

Are you sure it was 12/4/3/3/1/1 (98.28%) for the quarter version? I have never seen that paytable on any Bonus Deuces game made by IGT. But I have seen 12/4/3/2/1/1 (96.22%) numerous times.

And I would definitely be tempted to cover those other lines too.

I think due to typos and fatigue I made a mistake on the quarter version game. The correct paytable for a 97.36 return is 10/4/3/3/1/1. The paytable for the dollar spin machine is much better and both machines pay the correct amount for the royal for bet 1. The dollar paytable has a 98.8 return and is 13/4/3/3/1/1. Actually, I am heading up in a little while. I am not sure which machine I will play yet, but it will be somewhere between 3 and 5 lines and bet 1. I am using these 2 games to keep track of my round 3 royalless streak posts. This is the only game I will be playing until I either start hitting royals as I should or hit a 500k streak again ( already up over 300k hands ) at which time I will probably finally and reluctantly abandon Mohegan Sun and play at Foxwoods unless which is possible I won't find any good paytables there. The quad deuces hits have been keeping me alive recently only because I adjust my bet to bet the amount I need to be even when the quad deuces hit. Eventually, I will get a session where they don't hit and I will bust my allowable 500 dollar budget. Hopefully later than sooner. If it doesn't bust of course and I know it will, the casinos would be oob.

Thanks for picking that up vman. See correction post. The one you site for 96.2 is the paytable on the 3 cent and up spin machine at Mohegan and there is only 1 of those. That one has the option of 5,10,or 20 cent bets too, but unfortunately the paytable doesn't get better as you up denomination. That machine also requires bet 5 to get the correct Royal amount. There is still that bank of nickel machines for regular deuces wild that has the good spin poker option for the royal, but the paytable on those is also around 96.2 at 16/13/4/3/2/1/1. The wild royal does at least pay 25.
