I wish all casinos would give us this option

I wish all casinos would give us this option

Post by olds442jetaway »

At Mohegan Sun, there are a couple of machines that pay 800 for 1 on all of the games within the spin poker option. They are all All Star machines. The better pay tables are on the dollar option, but games are offered on the quarter and even nickel games too. At the dollar level, all games return between 98 and 99 percent based on the table. What that does in the following.....It gets me to boost my coin in for every session. I can play the dollar machine and play 3 lines for only 3 bucks and if the Royal hits, I get paid the correct amount. I don't know why casinos don't see this but I have a suspicion. So few people now days pay any attention to the pay tables at all. I see many people playing 4 coins on a quarter game. If patrons are that naive or just don't care, I guess that is why the casinos don't routinely offer the option as stated above. It probably won't last forever, but I am enjoying it while I can.

I believe you are right.  Most players don't care about odds or variance, they just pull up to a machine and start banging away at the game with biggest jackpots.  Olds, those games are there for you... enjoy!

Yes, take advantage of this while you can. It is more of a don't say anything opportunity. It is certainly a privilege to bet just one coin and get the full 800 for 1 payout. Higher denomination does boost coin-in to help you earn comps quicker, in some cases, with a superior pay table will be at a lower loss rate than an inferior pay table at lower denominations.

Aside from this, I immediately thought of how Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods allow flexible 1 to 25 coin betting on their single line games. I wish this option was available at more places.

When Mohegan Sun first opened, they offered up to bet 80 on their vp machines and up to bet 100 on some 2 cent single line games. I took full advantage of that and did well until they lowered the max to 25. If one played a while at a lower bet, then on a low variance game gradually upped their bet, you could do very well back then. They also offered full pay on several games not just job. I used to just up my bet on either job or bonus poker so when a single quad hit, I would get all of my money back. I don't ever remember getting smoked, though a pretty high bankroll was required when your bets on quarters got up into the 20's or 30's or on rare occasions even higher. Then a quad would hit and you would be all set. Once in a while, I would hit a Royal for 3k or 4k by playing this way. There were a number of players doing this and the casino changed all of the software. I am glad they do still allow bet 25 though. I rarely get up that high, but it is nice to have that option.

I have a nice pic on my phone Phil you would like to see. Shows the 3 lines on dollar spin poker bonus deuces wild. The quad aces are on the top line, quad deuces with the ace on the center line, and 5 aces on the bottom line. Hope I can repeat it tonight. The Mrs. and I are heading up after she has dinner with the girls.
