Just another lucky pot shot at Mohegan Sun

     Got back last evening from another overnight at Mohegan Sun. The wife and I are heading back up there tonight. She needs a big break already from the stress of the first week at school. This year she is the only first grade teacher and has a full class. She also has some project choice students and disabled ones. I really don't know how she does it but loves working with the little ones. Can't say the same thing for the boondoggle bureaucracy though. Anyway, hope she enjoys tonight and here is the Mohegan story.
     The evening started out Wednesday night as planned. Got to Mohegan mid evening. Played and lost my free play and got my room. I decided to wait on dinner for awhile and maybe even have it at Foxwoods. On the way out the door to Foxwoods, something made me turn around and play at Mohegan a little while. As usual, I played a combination of DDS Deuces Wild and also the usual dollar All Star spin poker machine on the Bonus Deuces Wild game. The last trip here, I lost my 500- stake and was in no hurry to repeat that. I played pretty conservative and was ahead about 300 bucks due to a few small premium hand hits. The last trip had no pot shots played. I was really tempted to do the same thing this trip, keep the 300 and call it a night and head upstairs. Well, I did pocket 200 of the 300, but reserved another 100 for pot shots. I tried 2 shots per machine on various DDS stud machines, and both of the All Star machines. I had a couple of decent hits, but nothing big until I went back to the dollar All Star machine. I had 54 bucks left of my 100 pot shot money. That was enough for 2 big bets of 27 bucks each. That would be 3 lines at 9 bucks a line. I don't know why, but I just had a feeling. On the first pot shot on this machine, I was dealt quad deuces on all 3 lines with a chance at the Ace. I was already thrilled and barely paid attention when I drew for the Ace. I din't get one, but the Jackpot payout was 5400 bucks. That really did make me quit for the evening and turn in for some much needed rest. Called home and luckily caught the wife just before she fell asleep with the news. Of course she said....now quit and don't blow it and she was right. I haven't sent the pic on my dumb phone to Fla Phil and hate to keep bothering him to post it, but I will and I guess he doesn't mind. Good luck all.

Way to go olds

I was curious if these jackpots make it easier to sleep or harder if the joy keeps you awake. But if you are tired, it is easy to sleep regardless.

The potshot hits does buy some more trips. I am glad you've limited it to 2 attempts, or else it could spell trouble to the wallet.

Side note to alpax: I find it easier to sleep, just counting Benjamins instead of sheep.

I remember your non royal streak and then all of a sudden you hit a few. That is what long term play is all about. The numbers will even out in the end. Just trust the math.

Thanks as always gang. Falling to sleep no problem. Getting up is hard sometimes. Lately, when I win, I have been thinking of a good cause not myself. I'll be keeping those thoughts tonight. Taking care of the Mrs. is really the most important part absolutely. Fla Phil will be posting for me again. They got hit hard down there, but he is OK.
