Man vs Machine, when it rains it pours!
Man vs Machine and Man won this months round! The month of March started out very badly for me. However the last two days put me back in the black for the month and year. The club Royal was the odds beat we all want (1 in 47)The spade Royal was big only holding 2 to the royal.Been playing 70,000 hands a month at the casino so year to date I am on the 1 in 40,000 hands to the royal. Was a bit behind till Mon-Tue. I also gave up any systems and went to flat betting. So far coin in ytd is $230,000.I know not many like JOB but its the only game for me. You can't beat the two pair 10 coin pay. I do play some 8/5 BP but stick to JOB most the time. The swings so far this year have been up or down $1,000.00 and that I can handle. My free play has sky rocketed with all the hands I am playing. Good luck chasing the Royal!

Jacks is a great game, especially 9/6. We played it for years and did pretty well. These days 9/6 is getting hard to find, especially in low denominations. The best day I ever had was playing Jacks. Lots of players think you can't lose a lot of money playing Jacks and that the 2 pair will keep you even. This is a myth. If those quads and royals don't show up on time, it can be unpleasant. Ask Bob Dancer. He once posted that he had a loss playing Jacks bigger than he ever imagined possible. Video poker has a game for every personality. We gave up on on Jacks because we kept falling asleep at the machine. Just kidding, but it does get pretty boring at times. There are lots of advantages to 9/6 Jacks and not much downside.

Congrats wildman but remember March still has a week to go and it doesn't always go out like a lamb.

Kudos, but don't count your money too quickly. Fortune can be fickle.
It's funny, but when I get to the last week, I tend to conserve my winnings when I'm up.
I'm up $176 for March on VP and passed up my normal Tuesday free lunch/playing session in order to preserve my chances of finishing up.
The mind plays terrible tricks.

I actually did fall asleep at the wheel playing 9/6 job many times. It is a good game most of the time and there are no shortage of quarter games with a 9/6 paytable at Mohegan Sun. However, I have also lost the most amount of money in the shortest time frame playing this game. One session a few years ago, netted of course no Royal, no quads in about 7 hours of play and 5,000 hands, and only a couple of full houses. I was playing a dollar game 5 bucks at a time and if I remember, dropped about 2200 dollars total into the same machine and the machine right next to it.

Preaching to the choir, Wild! CET free play is severely diminished, however. $50 for 1 TC. Stop the insanity! We know the definition. I'm taking my sorry butt all of two miles north to Borgata to enjoy the same odds with better free play. Better drinks and ladies to boot.

Very nice!
The problem I have with Jacks is there is no excitement with the 4OAK....they are all the same. In DDB you have some huge 4OAK, but the variance can eat you alive.

However, to sustain that over seven hours requires sheer masochism or unfounded hope. The only move you should have made was to the parking lot! You know what, if I don't see a quad and I get to 10 TC on quarters, about 500 hands, I am going to take a two hour break! Easier said than done, but you gotta know when to fold.

Congrats wildman but remember March still has a week to go and it doesn't always go out like a lamb. Thanks all.Ted , the month is over for me as of today. I am playing to a points total of 80,000 each month. Cleared it with play the last two days up $100 each day. The 80,000 is what I need to average for 6 months to make Diamond card and am on a mission.

As for the boring part I get many dealt four of a kinds plus ones like below that keep me awake like holding a jack and four 5s hit or a throw away for of a kind. It's all in how much swings in bankroll that keep you playing one game over another. They just reprogrammed some older machines to all 99% plus games this last week. I found BDX at 9/6 pay table and killed it today after being down $300 early on playing Jacks. Love this game. Look for my March report coming soon!
