I don't know the origins of either term. I suspect airport deuces were first found at McLaren airport and were named accordingly.

  Seems to me the idea of naming a game which is just a different pay table of a basic game leads to a lot of confusion.  Deuces wild 9-4-4-3is very prevalent yet has no name. It deserves the name "teaser."
