Re: The Path
I shed a tear when a jobber hits a rack of pointies. Please tell me there was no kicker.
It is a brutal experience. Fortunately, my 3 sets of Aces last year (only 3 of 74 total...lol) were all on DDB and all worth at least $100+, including a $500 AWAK. My last Aces back in Dec. 2015 was on 9/6 JoB for $31.25 in Tunica. At the same bar last week, I got 22223 still playing 9/6 JoB since it's the best game at the bar by 1.53%, whoops!!!

Percentages be damned, I just couldn't take that. I recall that beauty you posted from your "Picking Greenbacks" thread.

You do have a point, P Cubed. Such a rare hand that you want a premium reward for hitting it. But with those games, the inevitable losing soaks up a lot of that payoff!

Bloody Sunday. I won $33 from $25 Caesars FP. So far so good. Then $700 coin in, about 800 hands without a quad. But as it turns out, I should have happily stayed there. Instead, bored and restless after two hours of futility, I got to the dollar banks. It was like crashing on the reef. I even did the ATM walk of shame and lost $94 of those $100. My $25 table FP was also disastrous. I rolled a nine and of course crapped out after rolling some wins for other players. I should have simply gone to the movies. I found the quarter progressive at $1,000.97 at 3 PM. Damn RFP always hits between 2-5 PM there for some damn reason. I will simply leave home later next time or spend the morning at Harrah's or Borgata. All told -$180 plus $27 trip cost. Poorhouse, here I come.

Boring Sunday. I won $37 with $25 FP on Caesars JOB. Then I hit craps with $25 table FP. Four point, so I lost. Depressed, I returned to JOB machine seeking quad. I lost the $37 and $28 more in seventy minutes flat. Some 22 year old idiot hit a Straight Flush for $12.50. What a waste of a rare hand. Progressive $1,001. I just missed the Royal Flush hit! Odd, it's usually a 3 PM phenomenon there. Fuming over loss, I hit ATM a quarter mile away. I returned for dollar JOB vengeance. I inserted $20 and soon got a $50 quad. Looking great, Queens! I celebrated with a Patron shot. -$8 net. 4.5 travel hours net too. I took my share of five buck pot shots and lived to tell the tale. Caesars was actually fairly forgiving today. Still bitter over wasting my time.

Good Friday. I lost my $25 Caesars table FP, four to seven, on craps. Plus another buck on craps insurance on the come out roll. Furious, I returned to dollar JOB and hit a $25 quad. $160 bankroll. Harrah's has screwed the low rollers. The quarter 9/6 JOB carousel is now $1-$2. Well, the old one was a money pit. I wanted to try this anyway. First 2.5 hours were choppy and I busted with 143 TC, a buck apiece. $20 per TC scale. $75 quad just a footnote. My Borgata plans were toast. ATM walk of shame for $140. Some dope in a tent tee shirt was at my seat. Hey, he can have the $64 per hour torture seat. Zen won out. Cut to three tens. I drew the fourth for $125; total $340. Photo of first three digit quad. Lunch at last! MS ran out of my beer, so I drank Bud Light. Tasted like champagne after the comeback! After, I decided to poke the bear for more cash. Amazingly, machine still free. Dope still bouncing around for lightning in a bottle. I lost $140. But then $50 quad sixes and in a blink, $125 quad Aces. I hugged some guy walking behind me on the hit and proclaimed him my good luck charm. He was good natured and initiated a fist bump. I cashed out $375 and 243 TC. Back at Caesars for another quad. Only $12.50. The AM $1,002 Progressive was now a whopping $1,012. Net trip +$104. Wish I could save a quad for next time.

The trumpets blared and FAA emerged the victor! Sounds like a harrowing battle indeed.

Today was my worst day ever. I began at Caesars. $26 from $25 FP. I hit dollar machines. $50 quad made $73. Hit adjacent machine. $100 quad made it $100, a $4 bet on my last hand. I won my $25 table FP on a ten point. Then I went to Borgata.
I played ton of quarter JOB, hit two quads and lost $80. No thrills and exhausted. Then I lost $215 on dollar JOB. It was crazy, reckless gambling. Expensive lesson to never stray from the quarter banks no matter what! It was a nice spot, the quads were hitting every five to six hundred hands. Just take the $40 hourly loss and pile up comps. Never quit quarters, never quit quarters, never quit quarters.

My struggle with discipline continues. I won $26 from $25 Caesars FP after a quad. It required inserting $20 more and getting $46. I also won $25 on table FP on an eight point hit. Then dollar play! Despite a $25 quad, I lost those wins plus $80. Then a long ATM walk outside for $200. I returned and hit a $125 quad for $220 total. I went upstairs and lost $200 on yet more dollar play. I will have to start asking for a check for my own sake. $181 in quads in vain. Never got around to lunch. Quarter Progressive $1,111. If only I remained there. Relapses kill. Who is beating the house even half the time at the dollar level? Primal scream therapy ASAP!
