They don't consider it gambling bill, it is to them; a job. Their job simply involves a bit more risk than most 9 to 5'ers but this risk is partially offset by tons of research and study. It is work though and in your area it may even be in the thousands who participate.

And getting back to the original question: I doubt many do it because they do not profit from it.

I'm beginning to think it might be in the thousands, as well.

Getting back to the original question, I had lunch today with a number of people who gamble for a living, although I don't believe they consider it to be gambling. Several derive most of their income from VP and promotions, with BJ and taking advantage of sports books a large factor.
The longer I live here, the more it seems that the number of people living off casinos is a lot larger than I previously thought. What I thought was dozens, is easily hundreds. Maybe more.In places where gambling is beyond doubt the primary driver of the economy, such as Vegas, Reno, and until recently AC, you have a large segment of the local population who do indeed "live" off of the casinos and all that they promote and throw out the community at large.   It's easily, and intuitively, grasped that if you look at all the various benefits of typical slot/players club cards, and then grasp that if you live in and amongst all those casinos such that you can visit any of them at anytime on a whim, you thus can take advantage of EVERY benefit and promotion which means being able to live off the casinos, more or less....Factor in things like the food (you'll never starve if you live in Vegas or Reno), free rooms (I have known people who have "lived" out of hotel/casinos for weeks or even months at a time, using all the various room promos and freebies) and a multitude of other giveaways and items and you see how a certain "lifestyle" begins to take form....I am not saying I would personally WANT that lifestyle (I definitely would nOT), but for people like our own Robert Dancer, it suits them just fine.

My credit card debt has been gone for a year billslim, wiped out June 2016. This credit card debt was in no way connected to gambling.

Edited to correct debt from debit.
