Re: My Journey on Video Poker
Nice hits Dan! You look much happier in your YouTube videos when you win. Keep the cheerful videos coming.

If I ever won $845, I'd be dancing on the ceiling.

You should of seen me when I won $8,000 on two royals playing $1 job a few years ago. More stunned than anything. I accept the fact we all win and lose. Comes with the territory. But a win is always nicer.

Amazing. I'm moving into fifty and dollar JOB to finally attain that Call Attendant screen. These long trips have to be worth my time. Two digit wins are insufficient.

Well...I was supposed to lose tonight
But the vp gods wouldn't let me. Started off with fpdw single line quarters. Brought $300 with me and after about a 3200 hand battle I just couldn't get anything going and went busto. However, I guess they forgot to get rid of points and multipliers on the game and surprisingly I earned full points and multipliers on full deuces wild.
For those interested, it made the game an extra .4% juicier and was now a 101.16% game...or with my 1400 hand per hour average, worth about $20 bucks an hour...but unfortunately, there is still variance and short term anything can happen and lost the session bankroll. So took the free play I earned to the machine in back of the game, a 7/5 bonus poker game quarters, to just play out the free play...and blamo, royal flush. My first Royal off playing free play. Was a pleasant surprise.
Decided to take $300 of it and take a pot shot at dollar jacks, job decided not to repeat the luck, and walked out the door +$400. I'll take it! On to the next...

Congratulations on another RF. I exit with the sweet taste of RF victory. Bittersweet to give back a third.

Another session of fpdw single line quarters...this time ran very well hitting all kinds of 5 of a kinds and 4 of a kinds, one quad deuce,
And several royals with deuce and in about 2 hr of play up +$400 on this one.
Cheers
P.S. Talked to an old timer I bumped into tonight for an extensive amount of time, something I don't normally do (get into a long conversation during a session). But was a nice chat about how vp has changed in Vegas thru the years, and real estate...and a secret concerning a small casino in Elko county. The point of the story, vp used to be great, now not so good but still can find diamonds in the desert. Cheers!

Another strong session. This needs reinforcement. Stay for the two hours. If the machine is allowing break even level play, it has a good chance of really compensating you.

I always assumed I was at 1k hands per hour. But one day awhile back I decided to finally pay attention to how many hands by the points I was accumulating and was surprised it was that fast. Did it a few more times, and was yet again right around 1.4k hands.
One attribute is surely the 'easier' strategy for fpdw. The second is I normally play at odd hours (2am-6am) and there is little to no distractions. The third is lot's of practice on software and experience.
But I would never recommend someone, especially a newb, to go in and try to play as fast as possible. It comes with time. First accuracy, then speed.
Cheers
