Very interesting article. In fact, Foxwoods is in process now of running a zip line across their property and they have already running another type of thrill ride. I have noticed one thing about the younger set. They are big spenders, but mostly on clubs, drinking, tech, and unfortunately, smoking. I attribute the lack of interest in vp in particular to the way math is being taught in the schools or not taught really. They certainly know how to push buttons to get the answer or talk to their phones to get one. I and many vp players grew up before hand held calculators even existed. Slide rules ruled. In fact, I still have mine. We did basic math in our head and were quite good at it. I can still ballpark what my restaurant tab will be including the tax for a party of even 4 or 6 to within 50 cents. We also grew up playing cards and all kinds and variations of poker. It is so sad to see pictures instead of numbers on the fast food cash registers and virtually no cashiers know how to make change on their own anymore. If you owe a tab of a buck seventy nine and you hand the cashier 2 singles and 4 pennies, your chances of getting back a quarter are slim to none unless they start pushing all kinds of buttons. Usually, you will just get a blank stare.

Yes, it was a good article. Olds I picked up dinner tonight and the bill was $16.57. The girl looked at me and said: "You're looking at $16.57." I handed her a 20 dollar bill and told her that I was now looking at $3.43. I did that simple math much faster in my head than the time it took her to enter it into the cash register.

I mentioned a couple years ago in this forum that casinos were going to start going after millennials and I was told by a certain someone that I was wrong. I can usually hit pretty close to the center of the dartboard.

i've seen it every time i've stayed at Harrah's AC on pool party nights.these 20 somethings dressed to kill in groups of 4 or more so they can split the cost of the room.never seen them at a machine though,only at the bars before the pool party begins.

You are sooo right Doris.   I have been unlucky enough to have a room near one of these groups, and they tend to party loudly. Sad to say the younger generation is lacking in a lot of ways

i will never stay in the waterfront tower either.if the atrium suites aren't available i ask for bayview tower.i go during the week tho and no weekends so a little quieter.

If these same generations of millennials are purposefully avoiding gambling because they truly feel it is a pointless, somewhat risky activity to be involved in, then GOOD for them.....Don't forget these "kids" (i.e. Young people) grew up influenced (or "traumatized") by such watershed moments/events as 9/11, the endless wars in the Middle east  and  the 2008 Financial Meltdown followed by the Great Recession.......such events definitely influence how generations witnessing them behave in later life, particularly such negative, dark events.
