2. You should practice at least until your 99% accurate at the game
Typo aside, where does your 99% number come from? For me, 99.99% accuracy on 9/6 Jacks is unacceptably bad. It is basically the easiest video poker game in existence. For others, 95% might be good enough.More important than the exact number is how you measure it. playing 98% of hands correctly might capture 99.5% of EV --- if most of your mistakes are minor errors. For most recreational players, this is plenty good enough. If you're using the video poker for winners software, you go to the game you like and then click ANALYZE --> OVERALL PLAY. And then click on RESET TO ZERO. This gives you a clean slate to play on.Play 200 or more hands and go back to ANALYZE ---> OVERALL PLAY. Find the RETURN tab at the top and then look at RETURN %. That's the measure you want.Note that you can set the difficulty level. If you set it to "mixed," you'll get a fair reading. If you set it to beginner, you'll just be dealt easy hands and your return % will be abnormally inflated.
