I'm glad these guys did what they did... I regularly passthrough this building and area anytime I travel south of NYC, whether it's to AC or Washington DC or Philly etc. Many times I have pondered the "what if?" while going through Port authority, the place is so obviously a bottleneck. Same with the Lincoln Tunnel...
While we all can be grateful for the response of these officers, further analysis reveals that the perpetrator of this latest example of evil was not too bright or skilled and for that we can all be thankful...on the other hand, as I look at and delve in to this perpetrator's life and situation, he appears to be just another disenfranchised, forlorn young immigrant who responded in the wrong way to the very real issues and problems facing similar people ....he was self radicalized. No evil bearded mullah in the middle East told him to do this, so bombing someone somewhere won't help, it will only make the problem worse.
When people are hopeless, and feel they have nothing to lose, they do crap like this...so what's the solution? Give them hope, and give them "something to lose". It's clear that the current approach and modalities are not the long term answer and we are only engaged in a delaying action.... you can't guard every place everywhere all the time.

One at a Time.....take everyone, no matter who they are, what they do or what "group" they belong to, one at a time. Police officers are Human Beings, capable of great courage and heroism, as well as despicable low down dirty crap.....Same goes for The Military, all branches, all parts:Next time anyone wants to blame the city of Baltimore's problems on "Brown people and how they live", read this article.....it's a lot more complex and variegated, the societal ills of Baltimore, Maryland.https://www.yahoo.com/news/2-baltimore- ... 48008.html
