Re: Quick Quads Strategy
However, these stats are for results of play aren't they?
As Webman indicated, I would expect that these would be the correct theoretical population dispersion parameters for the Quick Quads games. With the numbers that I referenced, you can see that the contributions of the various paying hands added up to the game EVs, so if the EVs are theoretical with perfect play than so are the derived variances/standard deviations.

Excellent! I did not realize that the figures were valid statistical data. It does surprise me a bit, that the variance for TBP exceeds that of DDB. It must mean my own play is a bit behind the curve so far. But then, I've only played it for a day.As you guys stated, the difference must be in the lower payback for Full Houses and Flushes. I guess the 600 for baby quads and the flat 1,200 for Aces doesn't offset that difference because of the frequency of quads even with the QQ option active.

Oops, made a big boo-boo in my TBP QQ strategy. I inadvertently input some incorrect suits into my program and it does weird things. I will correct the strategy shortly.
