Vegas got greedy
I've lived in Vegas for many years and remember when getting the bonus on any slot ment you were going to at least win something not when you hit it you are going to make something usually less then your bet or nothing at all and after you leave to go to your car you got to pay at least 20 bucks for parking before they let you drive off or they will tow your car in other words you can't park anywhere without paying parking fees

I parked at a Jack in the Box in Las Vegas for free.

Plenty of places to park in Vegas for free.
The only time I got stuck paying $7, it was my own fault as I didn't read the signs. Had I swiped either my Nevada license or my platinum card, parking would have been free. I thought you did that when exiting, not entering. Lesson learned.
Bonuses vary wildly. Played a machine and hit almost $250 on a bonus with a 1.20 spin. About thirty minutes later, hit the same bonus and got less than $10.

Of course, you're correct... GREED is Vegas, and Vegas is GREED. But you do have options..
1) unless you really really enjoy it, slots are not a good option....learn to play other games like VP or craps or blackjack.
2) consider using the various shuttles and public transportation, since you live there.... I'm serious, take a few minutes and simply plan and analyze where you want to go, what options there are, what times they operate, etc. You can drive your car to a place with free, safe parking, get on a bus or shuttle, and voila!

On the Strip, Treasure Island still has free parking, including valet, sans the tip of course.

If you live in Vegas and pay for parking, you are going to the wrong casinos. The strip casinos charge for parking and have the worst payback percentages.

Caesars Palace has free valet parking if you use the Forum Shops entrance. It's a bit of a walk to the casino but free is free.

Soon after the Vegas MGM started charging for parking, the Tampa Hard Rock implemented a $10 a day parking fee. As an Elite player I never paid for parking, but I have to admit it kind of got under my skin. The fee caused such an uproar, they rescinded it six months later. The strip is not just a bunch of casinos, it's a tourist destination. Do a lot of people park at one of the Strip casinos, walk around gawking and not gamble? If that's the case, charging for parking makes sense. When we go to Vegas, we never go near the strip. We play at Red Rock and South Point for the better odds. It's quite a treat for us.
