Re: You Da Man....
I've played Bethpage, but not the Black. My ego is way too fragile to attempt that course.

When I was working for NYSDOT out on the Island, we had a golf league and played all 5 courses. But that was before they set up the Black course for the first US Open. I played it again after that and enjoyed it just for the difficulty of it all.

I’ve played a few courses like that in Ct. Brutal. The most enjoyable course I ever played on th this day is the back 9 at Orange Hills in Orange Ct. It is tough but beautiful and rewarding. I was on the golf team in 8th grade. They let us play all day weekdays back then for a buck fifty. Sometimes, we would play 36 or even 45 holes. None of us smoked. I think that is why wecould do it. Never had carts either. Not that it matters, but my best round ever was a 71. My average back thrn was 84. Now, probably be licky to break a hundred. Practice makes perfect. I really enjoyed watching the PGA with my dad

Weather permitting, I am playing the South course at Charleston Springs in Millstone NJ this afternoon. Very nice 36 hole County complex Might walk because it will probably be cart path only today and that is worse . Have to take 4 or 5 clubs and walk across many fairways.

Played 12 holes and then the thunderstorms came. 2 legit birdie putts, missed both. 4 pars, overall not bad for first time out in 2019.
