Changes in Vegas

Post by DougJ »

Mohegan Sun will be operating the Hard Rock Casino, which is now owned by Virgin Hotels. First Native American run casino on (technically off) the Strip.

Wynn/Encore not only have free self park, but now have free Valet parking once again.

Treasure Island has free valet as well. I hate the pay to park joints on the Strip.

Rumour is that the owner of TI is buying Circus Circus, which has long been said to be an absolute cash cow. It doesn't seem that long ago that MGM was called Circus Circus Entertainment.

i truly miss the old treasure island when it was owned by wynn. both it and the mirage, just before bellagio was built, represented a different more clean vegas that only wynn could deliver. i recall walking into treasure island and mirage from outside walking on the strip and immediately noticing the smell of scent, or lack of one, from the filtered air they had back then.
