Re: COVID-19 Casino Impact
hey olds , getting back to mgm mass. as in mass robbery !, I went there 2 weeks after they opened . they offered a card up grade to hi level if u put enough coin thru . Borgata is also mgm so I would have next to the highest level , as usual I had an angel going . I was playing 3play or 10play , don't remember which ,and hit a royal ! one problem , even the royal was short ! only paid 700 dollars instead of 1000 ! this put me about 200 dollars ahead and hi end card to boot . so I went to eat and left . never been back since !!

I'm interested to see the type of promotions that the casinos will have in order to lure us back.

Fort McDowell is requiring players to wear masks but the phone operator was not sure about smoking. Harrah's only has a recording. Need to check back tomorrow when player club reps will be available at both. As a side note, I am not going back for awhile as I have 4 conditions making me more susceptible to Covid, male, 70+, type 2 diabetes, and type A blood.OTABILL wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 10:02 pmHere is the latest on AZ Casinos. Reading between the lines, it appears guests will not be required to wear masks. Nothing about smoking. I am not going back for awhile but I will call and ask Ft McDowell and Harrahs AK-Chin on Friday after they reopen about masks and smoking.

OB there is only room on your back for ONE target. "Choose wisely my son".(love that old Starwars line)
Seriously did you read paco's links about smokers? Crazy! If nicotine shots are a cure i'm good with it, how about you?

I would love to see more research on the shots or patch. Whatever works. I have a big target on my back, but hope the virus is below Marksman level. Type A, age 71, borderline A-1c, heart partial branch bundle blockage, boy there is a mouthful, CO-2 exhale not the best, but who’s counting? I’m almost tempted to buy a new Harley and head out to Sturgis for awhile. Probably saved enough money not gambling the last few months for a nice chunk toward it. At least I dropped 15 lbs staying away from salty casino food. I have to admit though, I miss vp and the action.

That smoker thing is just very hard to believe. Not seen it anywhere on news. Stay tuned.

No way. That would be "out of the frying pan into the fire." Cigarette smoke, at least the 2nd hand kind killed my wife from my perspective. Check this out, https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/arti ... ancer.html

While the article on smoking and the virus is interesting, as a nurse I found that two things that patients were not upfront on when taking a history were smoking and alcohol use. My late mother in law who always had a cigarette lit, told her doctors she didn't smoke. To us, she said, "well, I don't inhale".
There will be a lot to learn from this awful virus and some really smart people working very hard on it. I grew up in the time of polio, had friends with it. The vaccine was a wonderful thing.

I had a classmate that had polio. He had crutches, but a tough time getting around. We helped him but he was great brilliant kid and very independent. We graduated from getting our vaccine by ground glass into our upper arm to. Pink liquid on a sugar cube.
