Pretty nice run with the Double Down Stud! Watch out with that Martingale Clone though!

That’s for sure. Especially on these games. I am better off waiting for a net loss of about 500 quarters before I up my bet at all. These games are fun and fast, but can wipe you out in a hurry. It has been several million hands now since a dealt Royal on one of them. That is in the back of my mind and it is getting hard to not let it affect my amounts bet per hand. I guess it has been 4 or five 649,000 cycles since I have hit one.

Perhaps this is an inappropriate comment for the Recreational Play forum, but there is really no such thing as an appropriate quitting strategy. There are appropriate STARTING strategies, which limit you to playing much better games than you're posting about here, but a crystal ball that will tell you what's coming so you know when to quit in order to avoid the bad streaks simply doesn't exist.
You've posted many times that you've found your Martingale Clone strategy to bite you in the butt big time periodically, and certainly overall, but somehow that knowledge doesn't keep you from using it.
I wish you well, but with these games and this strategy, I confidently predict no smooth sailing in your future.

Seas can be rough. I still find that most times, at least for me there is a good time to quit. Yes, only end of year results matter, but I find if I quit when I am ahead a decent anount, I make out much better overall. There is always another day. I would rather hang on to some winnings then give it back and more every session. Especially with a 97 percent game, the longer and more you play, the more you will give back. I like these 97 percent DDS games for quick hits if they come, but not to grind out over 8 or ten hours. I would much rather move on to a 99 percent game for the rest of my playing time. The crystal ball is knowing the longer you play a 97 percent game long term, the more you will return to the house.

Seas can be REALLY rough when that good time to quit was an hour ago.
Seriously, for the league that BD played in,with paytables, points, cash back and other comps giving a
2%+ advantage as a "starting strategy",ending strategy would only come into play the morning you didn't wake up. Or when the "Starting Strategy" no longer exists.

Yep For me, it is quitting at the top of that sine curve. Trouble is, one always thinks it is not at the top yet.

What happens when the 1st hand is the top of the curve? Had that last week. Went for a short 2 hour visit. Put a $20 in the single line DDB machine I play, hit max credits, and was dealt 4 Jacks. Funny evening. As I was ready to leave, was dealt 4 Jacks again. Played to an even amount, cashed in and left. In between, had one other quad.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 11:56 amYep For me, it is quitting at the top of that sine curve. Trouble is, one always thinks it is not at the top yet.

Your hooked. Vacuum hidden in chair works on your wallet. Results predictable.
Facetious, ridiculous post ? Of course. But doesn't it SEEM to be true sometimes?
