Went to one of my local casinos Jan. 1st to try and get a nice handpay as usual. Actually did really well overall with lots of sub-handpay wins, but the big oooooof came when I was playing 25c 5-play STP Deuces Wild. I was dealt 3 to a royal on the first 3 cards, 4th starts the random multiplier shuffle and lands on a...... 10! Fourth card is another card needed for a royal flush, 5th is......junk.

So I hold the four to a royal, close my eyes, and hit the deal button, hoping to hear at least one sweet $10k ding of victory. I hear 3 hands hit something, open my eyes to 3....... flushes.

Still stings even now thinking about it haha. Ah well.

Well AD, sometimes you are the royal and other times you are - the flush...

A strongly positive sub hand pay day should be the goal. I get dispirited when surrounded by hand pays and I fritter away funds to keep up with the Joneses.

Seems like I have the Joneses always on either side of me. An alfa to my left, a Jag to my right, and my Hyundai in the middle. At least it has been good to me so far, unlike the casino.
