Interesting medical condition. I was not even aware of the correlation. Alcohol is indeed strongly associated with increased gout risk. Beer is especially problematic as it is high in both alcohol and brewer’s yeast. Big time gout trigger. High purine, which forms the basis for DNA, metabolized into uric acid. This dissolves into the bloodstream and is passed through the kidneys. Gout would be the last thing I need.

Olds and LL talk about being old. First 45 I bought was Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire. Among the ones right after were Peggy Sue by Buddy Holley, At the Hop by Danny and the Juniors, and Hey Schoolgirl by Tom and Jerry. The latter was Tom and Jerry's first hit in a career that eventually led to their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. BTW, prior to purchasing 45s, I picked up a number of 78s including Dean Martin's That's Amore and of course Buddy Ebsen's Ballad of Davy Crockett.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 1:52 pmWow! That was the 3rd 45 rpm record I bought as a kid. First was The Witch Doctor and second was The Purple People Eater. Took months just to save up for one record. Sometimes I think the casinos are Witch Doctors with our bankroll and Purple Money Eaters for sure. Still waiting for the correct answer. Good going OTABILL.

Had quite a few 78s too as my dad was in the big bands right out of the service till the early 50s. Got to learn to appreciate not only big band music, but the individual musicians as well as well as the Great singers like Ella Fitzgerald Frank Sinatra and on and on. Of course as I grow up my taste switched to 50s rock ‘n’ roll and then 60s. Still like swing music too. Speaking of Swing, let’s see if I can swing into a winning session tonight. Up at Mohegan with the Mrs. just had a nice dinner and they gave us a top notch room on the top floor. Plan on taking it easy and not let my bets get out of control.

Just back from the above trip. Playing my Martingale Clone, I was able to get some nice hits on Double down stud and joker Kings. The best hit of the night was on double down stud with dealt quad deuces. I was able to put a nice dent in my recent session losses.
