Biloxi/Gulfport Area Casinos

Post by J0ker0fP0ker »

I'll be moving to the Biloxi/Gulfport area later in the year and I've been scoping out the best VP options on vpfree2. It looks like the best games are JoB 99.54% at .25/.50/1 at the IP and then the Silver Slipper further down the coast has Bdlx 99.64% and JoB 99.54% both at $1. From what I can find, the Silver Slipper had NSUD, but I guess they got rid of it.

Looking at vpfree2 though, I wonder how recently some of these have been updated. Any other good games in the area?

Vpfree2 is probably not very current. Usually when they update something, a dated entry is posted to the casino's comments page.

My last visit was before the plague. I didn't find anything exciting. At IP, the JoB earned very slowly. Boyd's slot club is different now. If IP is anything like Vegas, you'll earn points at a reasonable pace, but tier credits will come slowly.

The Silver Slipper NSUD downgrade is dated 8 months ago on vpfree2. Casino location is isolated. It's on the beach, but in that area the beach is not on the highway.

If you're new to the slot clubs, research carefully before you register. Some of the casinos may have good signup bonuses such as loss rebates.

Yep, that's what I figured.

Really appreciate the info! Yeah, I'll shop around the few decent options to see who has the best offers.

While I don't have direct confirmation, I was recently told that the JoB 99.54% at .25/.50/1 at the IP is no longer around. Sounds like it got downgraded.

VP @ IP is crap-py. They did still have that JOB upstairs on a small bank of 4 machines as of January, but that's about all that's playable there. There aren't many video poker machines at all, especially for how large the casino floor is.

Treasure Bay has good VP and decent variety though.

Jokerofpoker, see my post concerning IP on the forum category of "Video Poker Stories."

As for VP Free, the idea is great but the execution is horrible, because it is based on volunteer updates. Much of the info as it concerns the Mississippi Coast is inaccurate and/or outdated. As I wrote in my IP post on "Video Poker Stories", and as several posters agreed, some casinos are gradually but surely becoming slots palaces, with VP being edged out.

My thought is that for VP information concerning the coast, asking right here among posters, as you did, is probably the best way to go.

Treblehook329, what denoms are currently available at Treasure Bay? Back in the day, when it was still a pirate ship on the water, it had fantastic video poker. Then Katrina happened, and they eventually re-opened as a much smaller casino across the highway.

The idea is for players who use vpFREE2.com to send them updates if any changes should be made to the database. Apparently players on the Mississippi coast aren't interested in having an up-to-date video poker database for their casinos or they would submit more updates.

I was at IP in mid September and they still had 9/6 JOB upstairs on the 2nd floor. Also had excellent drink service. I only use my players card for slots at Boyd properties. Not worth it for VP. In Bay St. Louis, I found a nice variety of VP at Hollywood Casino. I didn't make it to Silver Slipper
