Deals and draws

Post by oldgodslive »

So chat raises question as to whether the deals and draws on the site are what we can expect to see at a casino. The answer should be yes based on how you advertise the training aspect of the site. Please respond as to whether or not this is true

We often get emails about the cards being either better or worse on the site than in the casino. I'm not sure why people think the site would benefit from this in any way. We don't single out specific users to do better than others. But naturally, in a random game some people will be more fortunate than others.

The truth is much more boring... the cards are simply selected at random as you would expect in a fair game. The game server doesn't know who is playing, whether they are a free member, a gold member, a new user or an old user. It doesn't know if you haven't gotten a royal flush in a long time. It doesn't even know if you need certain cards for a royal flush. It just generates random cards for each game on the deal and then selects draw cards based on what was left in the deck after the cards were dealt.

I have seen lots of wild theories, seen people have changed their email 10 times a day because they think it will result in better cards, close their web browser, play shorter or longer sessions.... none of these things make a bit of a difference. It's just... random.

As a result, a lot of the same superstitions people have in the casino apply to this site as well. You will have runs of good luck, bad luck, and everything in between, just as you would in a casino.
