Best gift offer?
Recently got my monthly CET mailer for June. Similar to others in 2024, loaded with "giveaway" and gift days along with token free play. I've filled out numerous surveys wherein I select my preferences being more free play and multiplier days. Also have made it known to my host.
I don't plan trips based on gifts anymore- haven't for years. Most times it's something not worth walking to the car with. The best giveaway I've actually picked up has been either a rain jacket or a panini maker. Possibly two bottles of vino.
Usually I opt for the free play option, though I have crap luck with that- gone in 60 seconds...
So-
What's the best tangible gift offer you've taken advantage of/been offered?

Unless you are a professional drinker, 2 bottles of wine lasts longer than 60 seconds. But it sounds like the panini maker was your best value over all.

For anyone who plays regularly at multiple properties, it quickly becomes ridiculous.TripleTriple wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 8:05 amWhat's the best tangible gift offer you've taken advantage of/been offered?
IIRC, for many years Harrah's slot club was comps only. Free play redemption not available. They had a product catalog, and I redeemed points for a laptop. It was a nice laptop, but I certainly would have preferred free play -- maybe even at a 2-to-1 reduction.
Couple months back I redeemed last year's 250k signature experience at the Row in Reno. The reward was a $500 resort credit including gift shops. But the gift shops are so useless imo that I opted almost entirely for dining instead. They could have bought me off for a much lesser value in points.

Before 8/2011, when they went to no spendable points for 99 percent video poker, I had racked up over 9,000 points. Each worth a dollar. Now I fluctuate right around 0-50 points. Some years later as I was spending them down, we got a nice HP laptop for about 800 points. We still have it and it has been trouble free. As far as the usual giveaways go, they are always worth 20-40 bucks retail and usually not worth getting. The exception being various kitchen stuff for the Mrs. Most recently, a pizza maker which is still in the box. If we do get the gifts, we usually give them to needy people or Charity. I do use the coffee makers at home but 2 is more than enough. Same with the slow cookers. If you do play a machine which does pay points you can spend, like a 97 percent one, you need to cycle through like 500 bucks to earn one point worth a dollar. My free play is usually in the 20 buck range per session unless I get an award for extra play.

Nice Air Fryer which we use a lot. Identical backup in basement.
This is probably stretching the tone of this thread but just got back from "free" 10-day cruise.
Slight correction to the "free" would be $248 in ports and fees. For a Balcony We will take it anytime.
Two problems. The VP was worse than I have ever seen, even for Cruise Ship, 6-5 JOB, never played a tug.
Problem #2,Daughter and Son-in Law came along on their own, they had the drink packages so I was
Over-Served for 10-days, still tapering off.

BTW I admit to borrowing the descriptive word "tug" from either you or dinghy, I think. I love it

It is clever, but I can't take credit. I try to keep clear of the tug(boat)s

That's an unavoidable hazard sometimes for a regular player. Fortunately most casinos these days allow some measure of redemption for free slot play, although not always at a desirable rate.

I've been gifted a George Foreman grill (a big one), a Keurig Coffee Maker (a big one with a carafe), this is still in the box unopened, a Eureka Upright vacuum, still in the box unopened, a very nice heavy quilted comforter that I use every winter, a Pannini maker, waffle maker, a couple Coach purses that I gave my niece when she was in college working on her B.A., Seven Stars renewal this year I chose the $150.00 E-Visa card. I've gotten cruise certificates but never booked one and like many of you, I don't waste my time for some of the garbage. I haven't decided on which Seven Stars excursion I may do. Most likely I will end up not doing any of them.
