Re: Harrah's Diamond Cove
Another Marina massacre. We should switch casinos with our luck at the regulars. I have completely eliminated getaway day play. It always ends terribly with an incomprehensible loss and mournful ride home. You did six hours worth and lost twice the evening bankroll chasing losses. Hey, no Seven Stars cash advance fee! Carpe Diem became Custer's Last Stand. Early luck I can only dream of, a hand pay within a scant twenty minutes. Hell, you beat a 96.8% game. Jitney to the boardwalk dive into the Atlantic, even at midnight. But you soon turned the HP into TP. The pit in my stomach from losing my hand pay would have led to my cutting the card or chucking it into the bay. Those cage incompetents not withholding the taxes was a sure sign to close shop. I would have been so angry with the service that I'd walk just to spite them and withhold any profits off my bankroll. Horrors is notorious for inefficient check in. Glad that you quickly wised up and your status saved you that disaster and $39 resort fees and taxes. It's so much easier to think on your feet than sitting down at a machine.

The only thing I am a bit lucky at, is check in at Bizarro. I usually check in very late, rarely see a line, and if a manager spies me on camera, he/she will come out, usually upgrade me, and if there is a line at all wave me over to an area away from the people in line. Of course they know a tip is coming as well. I’m sure that helps a bit. Is Harrah’s Diamond cove what I called Harrah’s Marina at A/C in the old days? That was my favorite casino before Mohegan Sun in Ct was built.

Diamond Cove is just the HL room. Harrah's Marina is now officially Harrah's Resort. It's really gone downhill since your days, despite the new towers. No beach of course and $20 pool fee, $30 if a non guest. Sports book lounge nice and cozy. They tightened pay tables, as has nearby flashy Borgata. I like to walk it, through a sprawling undeveloped field. It's a little adventure trek. Borgata actually buses their guests to Brigantine in the summer, a nice courtesy that keeps their occupancy rate up.

Thanks! Other than winning, I have no real issues to deal with at Bizarro. Other than losing which I seem to be quite proficient at, my only expense is tips. I would still like to get back down that way some day.

It must be nice not to dig into your pocket on a trip. But the rub is that you’ve simply prepaid, a premium at that. I’m still trying to process TT trip losses, and it’s not even my liability.
