Besides the usual lunatics on the road, the deer start getting frisky this time of year and hop out of the woods with no warning. Had a close call yesterday. Don’t want a repeat of 8 years ago. I had left the Mrs. For a bit at Mohegan Sun for a quick run over to Foxwoods. That was the end of that car and almost me too! I felt worse for the animal than the car, but there was nothing I could do. One leap from the woods directly into the front of the car!. Anyway, be safe out there…..

Not exactly the same thing - but quite similar. We were being driven from Reno to Harrahs Tahoe Monday evening. From the back seat, I saw something flash across the front of the vehicle. The driver said that he had never seen that in over twenty years of driving this route - it was a mountain lion.
