Re: How exactly are video poker machines rigged?
Unless you’re playing in an unregulated area, the machines aren’t rigged. They are random. Some days I have good days some days I have bad days. Depends on the cards and if I am playing at optimal strategy. In addition, the pay tables make a big difference. I’ve see more bad pay tables than good ones so you have to pay attention, especially at a bar or you will most likely lose more money.

Just as there are rumors of an action based random number generator being used in on-line poker, the same may be said for action depressed random number generators in video poker.

You are supposed to lose. They make you win because they are supposed to pay out a certain percentage of the money going into the machine.
