Re: Off to Nevada
Glad you folks are enjoying the trip and Black Tie affair without having to wear one!!! Keep it going. Stay safe and well! I will be cheering you both on due to our weather forecast either from the kitchen with a hot cup of coffee or my dad’s Lazy Boy Recliner. Well, maybe from the dumbbell room too!
ENJOY!

Unfortunately, four positive days in a row for me did not happen. We are still at the Tropicana in Laughlin, and started the day playing our normal 5 line 50c bonus poker.
The first hour or so went really well for me, and I was ahead in the neighbourhood of $1100. Then, the reality of the volatility of playing multiline kicked in, and I dropped about $1000 over the next 45 minutes or so. At that point, I decided to switch to 10 line 25c deuces wild to see if it would play any better, but it didn't - to the tune of another $500 drop. So, I ended the day at minus $400.
My wife, on the other hand, had a much better day than she had been having. After a so so run on the multiline bonus poker game, she decided to switch to the deuces wild game when I did, and caught a royal, finishing her day plus $750.

Not bad at all considering. Maybe one of you guys will be dealt a really good one before you leave. That would be super on multi line. Seems to be feast or famine for me too on multiline games.

My late wife and I always considered our overall results as opposed to looking at our individual subtotals. If you and Mrs OMT are like us, from your post, as a couple the two of you would be + $350. Glad you are having a good trip. Look forward to seeing a positive final outcome for you guys.

Yesterday, we finished our stay at the Tropicana. We did play a session in the morning before leaving. The results of it were quite similar to most of our previous ones there - I was comfortably up ($1800), while my wife dropped $1300. Plus $500 for the team is just fine.
My positive session was due to another royal hit, this time on a one card draw. It came very late in the session, just as we were preparing to wind it up.
I've been at this game for a long, long time, and I don't recall ever having a streak like what I just experienced at the Tropicana - four out of five days being positive, with a net positive outcome of about +$5300 there.
It would be nice if the good results continue here at the Four Queens, but as we all know, anything can happen.

Actually, we both have had some pretty good dealt hands. My wife had two or three regular (125 credits) quads dealt. I had two of those regular ones, plus quad deuces once, and, best of all, quad aces. And ,in addition to the quads, a straight flush. Those dealt hands, plus my two royals, pretty much explains why I fared so well.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 8:28 pmMaybe one of you guys will be dealt a really good one before you leave. Incidentally, the straight flush included an ace. But, it went in the wrong direction from the ace, i.e., ace -2-3-4-5, rather than the much better ace-K-Q-J- 10.

Congrats on your team good fortune at The Trop, OMT. I hope you can continue to let the good times and good luck, roll at The Four Queens.
