I well remember those days. Budgets were always tight. Wonder bread was 12 cents a loaf. We didn’t mind at all as long as there was a jar of sweet green relish nearby. Sometimes the store brand of bread was 5 cents.

That's like serving a hot dog on a tortilla.
Growing up, there were many times a piece of bread was substituted for a hot dog bun. Same for burgers occasionally too.
True, but FAA is talking about a presumably upscale restaurant.

Are you suggesting that my mom's, and grandma's, hot dogs and burgers were NOT upscale? My grandma also made the world's best fried egg sandwiches too.

Yes. They serve a $150 Tomahawk for Two. That’s a lot of wampum, Kemo Sabe.

While we’re talking about Gramma for a moment…..she and mom made the best grilled cheese ever. Homemade bread, thick American cheese, butter, Done in a cast iron skillet with a cloth and flat iron weight on top. Let’s face it…..our moms and Grammas made things we will never forget and still dream about.

I am sure your mom's and grandma's cooking was superb. Same at my house. My parents/grandparents also improvised, and the food tasted good. :)

My Happy Hour hummus platter doubles as an Orange Man stick figure. Kitchen had a sense of humor. I was famished for more food, but I’d rather reward myself on a positive day. The broken flatbread continues to occur. I mentioned it to my waiter and he politely returned with more. It also eerily resembles an Olds drawing.

What an outrage! Broken flatbread? Is there any bigger example of poor quality, than that? Thank goodness the carrots were up to your standards. I am more than confident that you stuffed the server's pockets at the conclusion of your meal for their extra efforts.

Have you ever been referred to as a Karen?

I gave them a pass the prior visit. But presentation is everything in a quality establishment. You simply must sweat the details. Chef Ramsay is not having it. Maybe I have watched too many cooking competition shows.
