Short Caesars stock and sit back. Couldn't happen to a nicer company.

It wouldn't be a new thing.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 5:50 pm. Last thing we need is a Communist running our nearest neighbor with the longest border.

But it looked like we would have an intermission.

Did I miss a news item?
Carl Icahn is trying to set the company straight, and he has a track record.

Ah, okay. It will sure be interesting to judge this Lazarus act in a year's time. I wish him the best.

He got in about a year ago saying it's perfect, I wouldn't change a thing. Lately, CZR stock has pulled back, and now he's adding his own board members.
The current iteration of CZR stock (launched in 2012) has lagged the broad US market, but the competitors are mostly in the same boat. The one to own was BYD Boyd Gaming. It's up a bunch.

I heard that they were removing the famous rotunda at Caesars Palace. What is going on out in Lost Wages?

Its Romanesque architectural charm is of aesthetic significance. I am dismayed. It seems that they chucked the people mover for the Omnia club, rendering rotunda moot. Sad state of affairs. Et tu, CET?!

Being a history buff, I hate to see the Rotunda go to make room for an F1 race Just my opinion of course.

The improvised racetrack was situated just north of the casino, where the Forum Shops now stand, and the Mirage used to stand.
Las Vegas itself... the Las Vegas Caesars Palace circuit was not as popular among the drivers as Long Beach, primarily because of the flat, repetitive nature of the circuit, its parking-lot location, and Las Vegas itself.
