Don't throw in the towel and head to the nearest library for the rest of the trip just yet, OMT. You'll hit your stride before long. Hopefully your wife will hit a few more premium hands as well.

Git 'er done.....

He can coast on her windfalls. Sounds familiar.

If memory serves, that's still available (7/5 pay schedule) at Silver Legacy on the 50 and 100 plays. It's now the best game on the machines. But $20 per point.
We are heading up there tomorrow for a four night stay, and will likely put in some time on those machines.

Yesterday afternoon, we took a break from the casino and went for a drive. We went all the way around Lake Tahoe.

It was not a perfect day for sightseeing, with periods of light rain, but not really too bad of a day. There are some sections of road on the west side of the lake that, in my mind, would be absolutely terrifying to drive in winter weather. There are very tight curves (signed for 5MPH), steep grades, and significant stretches of road with steep falloffs on one side, and no guard rails. I imagine that there are significant winter road closures there.

We played again this morning in Harrahs high limit room, again on the machines offering decent 10 line 50c games. My wife is starting to slow down a bit, as she had only one hand pay today (a dealt quad). and was up"'only" $1500. And, hallelujah, I finally had a plus ($1000) session myself. No really big hands, but enough premium quads to keep my head above water.

👍. Keep em coming. I did that drive back in 1998 as part of a trip for My sister’s wedding in Sonoma. We had a big Merc Gran Marquis rental. Was lots of fun. The wedding and the Tahoe drive. Stayed over at Harrah’s.

You probably won't have a wait. The regulars were 9/6 Jacks players.

Moving in the right direction, OMT, congrats to both you and your wife.

As for Lake Tahoe in the winter; 4-wheel drive and AWD are pretty much mandatory. My sister used to own a house on the North Shore.
