Lindsey Vonn - Olympics
Was Lindsey Vonn selfish to try and compete in the Winter Olympics after she tore her ACL? Should she have withdrawn and let another female American take her place in the Olympics?
She is 41 and has already won Olympic medals, including gold. She will be considered one of the best skiers in the sport.
Did she get run over by the Karma Bus?

She is a world class athlete who has worked all her life with one focus. To win!
If she had ever been capable of quitting she would never have accomplished what she did.
I agree with the overall tone of your post Ted. But I believe "taking one for the team" is maybe reserved for teams.
I agree the USA medal chances may have better served by her dropping out. But I respect her decision. She earned that right.
