Test Your Skills Challenge

Post by Flip77 »

Why is JoB in Test Your Skills challenge set to 9/5? Completely throws everything off.

Usually looking at the pay table is my first approach to playing the game I've chosen correctly; however, doing so on the Skills Tests for all games proved to be a very frustrating experience. I agree that results seemed be contradictory from one instance to another.

Post an example, and someone will be along to explain.

Keep in mind though, just because it's possible to play computer-perfect, doesn't mean you should.

Some mistakes are insignificant and therefore irrelevant, imo.

Most likely these are close holds with penalty cards, where a discarded card impacts the remaining outcomes slightly.

Examples. A vs JQ (both have a 9 visible, too)

Finally got the achievement and had to get lucky where A vs JQ didn't appear or maybe it only appeared once and I got it right. I think it has something to do with the remaining cards in the deck that match the suit of the A. So if you are throwing away one or more of the suit of the A, then the JQoff becomes a better hold. If the A is the only suit in the dealt cards the A becomes the best hold.

At least that is the only way I could explain it.
