JUST IN FROM A C REPORT
Thanks to HARRAH's and their great organizing for a free flight, room and meals in Atlantic City, it was a fun three days for us! The FOUR hour delay leaving from Metro Detroit was fine with me, as I was in the middle of Sue Grafton's latest mystery novel. Another plane arrived from AC for the 1 1/2 hr flight. To compensate, we were each given $10 meal vouchers at Metro and another $25 each in our room key packet, ready when we arrived at Harrah's Resort. En route, Harrah's rep organized a FUN drawing. Those interested in participating could put their seat number on a $5 bill. I was soon in possession of 74 crumpled $5 marked bills as in $370. YES, nice omen! The first day I obtained $1500 from TITO redemption at 2:00 AM. This represented what was left of TWO quad deuces from same $ DW machine after some 7 hrs of play on different games and machines. Harrah's has a great breakfast buffet. Harrah's provides free shuttle between their four properties, 10 AM to 2:00 AM, after swiping player's card. Gold members need to show room key, as well. The next day, BORGATA smiled on me with a $1500 W2G on a 5 times, 2 $, slot machine on a $20 bill. I was traveling in circles unable to find two lucky machines I had won on and was about to leave the casino. Once a year, I put a $20 into a slot machine to remind me why I do not play slots. Two of the 5 times symbols abutted the three bar center symbol worth $60. (5 x 5 = 25 x 60 = $1500!) I lost some $200 on a STP machine before realizing a MULITIPLIER never showed up at Borgata! Borgata keeps comps for only 6 months. No cash backs but comps for free play and using at shops. IF you purchase a $20 item with comps, they take $40 off your comp card. (!) They have a great breakfast buffet and take $10 off comps for the $15 breakfast. They are still offering $100 free play the first time you sign up for their players card by showing another casino's player card. I played for a long time at Bally's and Showboat and mostly broke even, which is still a positive! We enjoyed the Diamond Lounge buffet at Showboat offering soup, entrees, subs, pizza and many choices of salads and desserts. DW and DDB were my games of choice with a hint of JOB and DB. Next time I visit AC, I might prepare by practicing some form of jokers wild. When other machines are taken, it seems there were still plenty of JW available, the IN game in AC.

In AC, VP machine pay tables varied within the same casinos, as I have noticed at other gambling locations. 9/5 and 8/5 DDB. Some DW had 125 and others 100 for royal w deuces and 80 and 75 for 5OAK. Low on some JOB. MikeA's camera would probably have enjoyed Borgata's new-looking GAME KING upright that offered THREE double options: YES, "NO and DON'T ASK ME AGAIN" and NO. I was playing $1 level and chose the "NO and don't ask me again" option and it worked! Those options tend to interfere with my playing pace and bankroll.

Big wins were at Harrah's and Borgata as were many smaller wins totaling several hundred out at time. I was happy playing at those two BIG casinos and did not feel compelled to move on. Too bad I kept playing it in but came home way ahead anyway, which beats the alternatives! I hopped on a $2. jitney ride with over $3000 stashed here and there, trying to look sad and destitute or at least nonchalant. Last time I had the best luck at Ballys. There are several more casinos I would like to try at AC. We were neutral heading there as our Nov. visit left a lot to be desired. Now, we would look forward to going again. We are getting used to the transportation systems of cab, jitney and Harrah's shuttle besides plenty of walking.

I LIKE THE BORGATA BECAUSE I FOUND SEVERAL BONUS DEUCES WILD MACHINES IN MULTI- DENOMINATION THAT I HAVE HIT JACKPOTS ON. THERE IS A GROUP OF 6 MACHINES AT HARRAH`S. THEY ARE 25¢ JOKER POKER PROGRESSIVE WITH KINGS OR BETTER AND 2 PAIR PAYING 1 TO 1. THE 4 of KIND PAYS 20 COINS ( with 1 coin bet) WILD ROYAL PAYS 200 AND 5 OF KIND PAYS 200. THE NAT. ROYAL IS THE PROGRESSIVE. THESE MACHINES I HAVE HAD SOME GOOD PLAY TIME. I`VE BEEN FORTUNE TO GET THE 5K SEVERAL TIMES TO KEEP ME PLAYING. I ALSO LIKE THE SHOWBOAT JOKER POKER THE 25¢ JOKER POKER MACHINES HIT VERY FREQUENTLY. THOSE MACHINES ARE MADE LOCALLY BU A.C COIN & SLOT CO. INSTEAD OF IGT OR SOME OTHER NATIONAL MANUFACTURER.
CONGRADULATIONS ON YOUR GOOD TRIP.

Good report, Marie. It sounds like you did well. I'm impressed with your recall of all the machines. Have also walked an entire casino once or twice trying to find those machines that were so good to me that I left them and then promptly forgot where they were. I have an acquaintance who actually keeps a record of machine numbers. I only notice the machine number if it's remarkable (like 4oak).Your report was very interesting, comments re the atmosphere, the food offerings, even the comps are great. Keep winning!I am thinking a tee shirt that says:YESNONO! AND DON'T ASK ME AGAIN!might be pretty interesting......especially if you sleep in it.

Marie - Great report on A C. The latest issue of Casino Player magazine has a report on A C but yours was better. I'm trying to talk my girlfriend into heading to A C in the fall but she thinks its run down. I think she looks MUCH better going to bed in her Dallas Cowboys jersey and not the tee shirt you mentioned. Ted.

Tedlark, tell your girlfriend AC is not run down. I do think the best time to visit is in the summer. Pretty hard to duplicate an Ocean in the desert. Everyone of the Casinos have their good points. You can choose from flashy to sedate. Most rooms anywhere in the city come with an ocean or bay view. The 6 mile long boardwalk is really something to see. If I read the numbers corectly AC has a better return % than the LV strip. Enjoy!
