Re: Here Comes Hannah !
Just talked to Faygo. His power is out but he and his wife are fine. He said they were having steady 60 to 70 mile per hour winds but his preparations pretty much eliminated exposure to much loss...other than caffeine! One pot of coffee brewed before they lost power and is surviving on Pepsi now.Oh, he also said to tell folks in Jersey to get under cover....it'w coming your way!

Whew! It's pretty much over. Power back on, off for 5 1/2 Hrs. Freezers stayed cold so no loss of chow. I'm hard pressed to tell the difference between this Tropical Storm and a Hurricane. Wave action on the Pamlico River was 6-8 Ft, strong enough to toss a 80 LB rock up on the shore. On a humurous note, a deck chair that got sucked out to sea during Hurricane Isabel in 2003 was returned to me.
If this thing stays together folks to the North should batten down the hatches.

Moral of the story= Don't gamble online. It is a fixed game.
No patterns to detect or hot cycles to exploit.

It's great that Faygo and company survived the storm with minimal losses and the surprise return of a lawn chair. That's quite a tale in and of itself. How wonderfully ironic.
