Then I put up his emoticon like this

His blood pressure probably goes up 20 points every time he comes over here and sees it.    Might even see it in his dreams - er, nightmares.
Help me with this: When and how often does a "seed" number occur. When we first deal or does it select the "seed" again while we are playing

If the RNG were to be started with no seeding, then you would get the same sequence of cards every time you played.
Or would I?

If you hit the deal/draw button at the same precise micro-seconds, then yes, otherwise no.

There's a term for RNGs that have not been reseeded recently. They become "stale". That is, they become easier to predict. I suspect RNGs in VP machines are reseeded quite often. Probably when new money is inserted, at screen changes, and possibly at predetermined time intervals if none of the other actions occur.

SM that was my suspicion.
If I may, I use to be involved in the practice of germinating seeds to determine how fertile they were. The seeds were put into a chamber were the temperature and humity was carefully controlled. Good seeds would germinate anywhere from 98.5% to 99.9% out of a sample size of 100.(Made the math easy) So, what I am  gathering is that when I lose at VP, I got a bad seed.

Since RNGs operate so fast there really is no such thing as a bad seed. All the best paying hands are right there for the taking with any seed. All you need to do is press the deal/draw keys at the right micro-second. That is the key, you need the right seed for whatever timing you are going to use on future hands.

So, just work on your psychic abilities. Once you have that down, strategy is immaterial.

That's true for the machines in casinos.  I thought that faygo's original question was on PC-based RNGs - games on the site.  I've never used the Flash RNG, but the basic Microsoft RNG doesn't run continuously and needs to be reseeded every time it's started.

No cd I was talking about the real machines. What the PC based RNG does only costs a free T-Shirt. I'm still waiting for someone to call me on the brilliant math in my previous  post.

I'm still waiting for someone to call me on the brilliant math in my previous  post. The fact that you saw the incongruity makes me feel good about my original decision NOT to post a response.  Besides my explanations are way too long, so this allows me to bring down my average words per post.
