Random Thinking
I was sitting at home playing VPW "preparing for vegas trip" and I was thinking. I play JOB and DDB at the .25 and .50 level and sometimes $1 level. When I make max bets on dollar level I understand I am betting 5 dollars a hand. Now I would never play a slot to that amount "as discussed before I don't have BS down for slots yet... Why do I make a wager of that amounts on VP but not on a slot? I guess one could say I know my chances of return are better with VP than a one arm bandit.Stephen

I will no longer touch a slot machine any way, but I understand your reasoning. Video Poker is the much better bet (not to mention more fun)

I agree it is the best bet we have to play in a slot machine type of games. I really enjoy playing blackjack as well.

Can't argue with that! Normally, any BJ you play is going to give you a little less than the expectation that the best Video Poker will give, but the variance is much less.
But for some, the "action" is too slow at a Blackjack Table and the chance for those monster Bonuses isn't there. I really like both games, but I'm very conservative and because of that tend to spend most of my time at Blackjack. Besides, it is a lot easier to "scout" the Blackjack action in a casino <LOL>
With that said, while I spend more time at Blackjack, I allocate pretty much equal amounts of gambling budget to each game. The problem is that I find it more difficult to find "acceptable" Video Poker pay tables than "acceptable" Blackjack. To me "acceptable" is over 99% return.
Oh, and to keep this "on topic"....There isn't much to question about "randomness" at Blackjack <smile>
