SoCal Casino Update: San Manuel

Post by vidopoker »

I was @ San Manuel Casino yesterday and was horrified with what has been done to the vp selection.

the traditional igt 10-play machines that had tdb @ quarter level at 9/5 (which was darn good for an indian casino) and ddb at what i recall being 8/5 have been removed and have been replaced with all american poker. the all american pay schedules are horrific!

the traditional 3 and 5-play machines are still there but ALL of the pay schedules for all machines have been WAY lowered.

on ddb quarter, the return is 7/5!! for half-dollar it's 8/5 and for dollar, it's 9/5.

shame on me for playing the quarter @ 7/5 but I was already there. I managed to hit 4 aces w/ kicker twice (one time, held 2 aces only and the other time held one ace only). i felt like I was commiting a crime playing a game with that return!

Webman will supply your bankroll and you won't be supporting the injuns bad habits! Downside is you won't have anything to cash out when you're ready to leave!

Well, I had already driven the 70 miles there. I spent the majority of the 17 hours playing blackjack but I had to slip in some time to pay vp.
I guess they figured they weren't making enough money so let's make the pay schedules as bad as possible, no one will care!

** I must also mention I have NEVER seen people play blackjack as bad as they did yesterday. I don't know if it was a fluke day or what.

I saw people surrendering (yes, they offer it there) against a dealer face card on a player 14 and someone even surrendered a 17!! It turns out the dealer had a 2 under and busted!

Also, I saw people standing pat on a 14 against a dealer 10 and not hitting.  (FYI these instances were all at $25 min. tables)

They didn't play poorly, you just played better.

  And was the place crowded?
