Class 11/111 video poker
Is there any way that I can "visually" tell the difference between a class 11 and class 111 machine?

Use II and III to represent the different classes. Class II machines will typically have a "bingo card" logo discretely displayed somewhere on the front panel of the machine to show that this machine uses a pre-determined order of lottery-type results; class III machines don't. All machines in Nevada and Atlantic City are class III and many more locales across the country are being given the okay to use class III as well.

Thanks for the info.........Will the little bingo card be on the actual screen that deals the cards, or located somewhere else on the machine?

I haven't seen many of these machines, but from what I've seen and read the bingo card is on the display case fronting the machine, such as near where the players card reader is. I've never heard of any indicator actually being on the video screen.

All class II machines have a secondary mechanism to award wins. For example, you could be dealt 4oak and throw away one part of the quad (or more). The secondary mechanism will kick in and award a win exactly equivalent to the quad. Same holds for two pair or any other winner. You could never hold any cards and you will get the exact same results on a class II machine.
Therefore, if the machines describes this type of mechanism in the help text or elsewhere, then beware.
