Quick Run - Nice Hits/ Thanksgiving Wish

With the calendar full and not being able to get out of a Friday commitment to allow for our normal overnight stay, Ms. Lucky and I decided to make a quick run (2 hours away) to our favorite local casino. While I usually play multi-hand 5¢, I decided to play my limited $ for this trip first on single hand 25¢. First machine $40 down and out in less than 5 minutes.

A long time favorite machine was open so I sat down and played TDB. Over the next three hours I hit 5 quads but they were bizarre hits. First came the 4 deuces while only playing 5 coins, followed by 4 Aces on 10 coin, followed by 4 deuces on 10 coin, followed by 4 Aces, followed by 4 deuces again. No complaints - but this is beyond the odds. Later I had 11 consecutive hands with a 6 in it followed by quad sixes.

We kept looking at our watches - two hour drive back - OK leave at 8:30 pm. Down to $30 on deuces wild (not wanting to cash any of the hit tickets) twenty minutes later up to almost $300. Cash out and begin with another $100. Moved back to TDB and hit two more quick quads almost back to back. Played another two hours off of the last $100 and headed home - tired but up triple my money.

Love it when lady luck prevails. But getting up 5 hours later is a bear even for a two hour commitment but every time I got sleepy I thought about our quick trip and just smiled.
