Player's rights upheld .Landmark VP decision?

Post by swivet »

I apoligize in advance if this was addressed here already; Please delete if so.

This was posted in the January Las Vegas Advisor Newsletter;

I would like to read more about the circumstances; Here's what was posted:

In what could eventually turn out to be a very important decision, a municipal court in North Las Vegas has dismissed a trespassing complaint brought by Jerry’s Nugget against a skilled video poker player. It means that the ejected patron not only has the right to be on the premises, but also can’t be prevented from playing video poker. If so, this could challenge the whole concept of 86ing players based on their skill at playing the games.

I've also read this may have something to do with a 'double-royal' promo from April 2010.

Does anyone here have more details, or the verbiage of the ruling, or any more info?

Thanks

 There are a variety of royal promotions. From this description I would guess you get paid double on every RF. This would add 2% to the return of any paytable which could make it very profitable for a high volume player.

I have mixed feelings about this.  If they didn't limit this to single line 25 cent machines then they were asking for it.  On the other hand, who wants the pros popping in for their once a year visit to tie up all the good machines and kick their butt? They could have made some reasonable history of past play as a requirement.
