What difference would changing the chip make? Would the same set of poker statistics still not apply regardless of the chip?
Still wondering about this because I heard a guy say the same thing recently.

You would think but then why change it to begin with its not like they wear out like a car tire. But who knows, until somebody files a "Freedom of Information Act" against one of the chipmakers we can all just speculate, moan, groan and defend. Personally I just go by what I can see and expierence. If the chip changes and nothing else changes (paytables, more denoms, more games)and then I start loosing trip after trip after trip and so do 5 of my friends then that is all I have to go on. But I'm sure it's just worst case of luck all 5 of us are having after 15+ years of gaming and it just a coincidence it happened after one of us saw them change the chips out.
