Best casino story I have
About 8-10 years ago, I was sitting home bored out of my skull, and had no money to spend that week...I had about $40 in comp money from The Borgata in Atlantic City, and got a postcard in the mail offering me maybe another $30..I decided to take the long ride down with ABSOLUTELY no money in my pocket and take the chance with the free $70....Started on quarter 9/6 JOB, ran it up to a few hundred, then dumped it all into the $1 machine...It was St. Patricks Day weekend, and the luck of the Irish smiled upon this Irish lad...Hit the dollar royal for $4000!!!!!
I remember driving home with the $4000 in my pocket, not believing I actually came down without a cent!!!
Great day...

That's amazing. One of the best AC stories I've heard in a while! Somehow I don't think that would happen these days. However, I did manage to win $100 from just $25 free play at Borgata late last year. Also won $300+ on a 10x 4oak at AC Hilton early last year on my free play; they never sent me another offer after that!

Gotta LOVE your story, borgata7. Welcome to forum! I once turned $20 (the only money I had on me) into $1400. I promptly gave away $500 to three family members. We had not planned on stopping at Greektown casino that night but were in the neighborhood. Soon, I was having regrets about gifting family members. Will I NEVER learn?! I have so enjoyed hitting at Borgata on a couple AC trips. Wish I could play there more often!

Great stories, Tomcat! Only once has MGM Detroit offered me two free rooms. I hit $8K there the first night and gave a lot back over the next two days. They have yet to send me another free room offer! Maybe an offer will come in the mail next week. Sensational room and pool!

Marie, That's awesome. I don't play that big but it's nice to have something to aspire to

Actually the $8K was won on three hits and two were on quarter play. Sometimes one gets lucky but not often enough!

Congratulation ! ! When did you hit that ? Did you hit that at the B-Bar or on the casino floor. I was at the Borgata and this guy told me he hit a jackpot on his Bonus slot dollars. If I remember correctly that happen in Aug sometime. I was there Aug 9 & 10 also for the Air show.

Hey Jim, That was at MGM Detroit earlier this year. Single line, up rights. That was by far the best luck I have had there in one night. I usually expect to leave a donation.
I do not plan on attending any more air shows. A stunt man fell to his death at the Selfridge Air Show, Harrison Township MI area, earlier this year. Two of our sons saw him fall as he attempted to step from a plane to a chopper, many stories high in the sky. He had performed this act many times in the past. I was reading a book so do not have to carry that complete image around for the rest of my life. The announcer suggested it would be a good time to take children to the concession stand, as the ambulance personnel prepared to pick up what was left of him. Too tragic! It was a big and free show and families with young children attended en mass.
