for most players realize this is  part of doing business a 10 dollar tip on a 1000 royal is ok but with tito less handpays only the w2gs handpays. also those folks fix the machine if the paper jams not giving a payout ticket and no tip is expected or other machine problems. so when we have a burst of good fortune share a little

A burst of good fortune? Weve seen right here where the problem gamblers continually boast and provide never-ending pictures of multiple big jackpots consisting of aces with kickers all over the place along with several royals etc. on their latest trip, but they tell us how much fun it was even though they lost. The craziest part is, how much did they just give away for free during this run of such good fortune?

You can blame Obama for a 3.9 how graduate not being able to get a job. Hell turn around and just blame Bush no doubt, and when W throws it right back at him then Al Sharpton will join in and call him a racist. As soon as this jerk is out of office, you wont have to worry about casino or restaurant prices going up any more billy. And you can keep some of your losses.

i like tito for 25c games as no tip and fast pay for $1000 royals, i also congratulate any player whom post wins and/or pictures even though the paytables may be minus 2-4%. let these players have their day in the sun . undergraduate degrees are not worth the paper they were printed on my undergratuate degree in economics 3.86 gpa in 1978 same thing thats what law school was for. the sad difference is the graduates of today walk out deep in the hole even for a state school. if i had it to do over i was just played 21 counting cards then vp and now live poker. not as much income as tax law but more enjoyable

As it so happens, BS, this is "Waiters and Waitresses Day". Several web sites out there regarding tipping, including http://www.zimbio.com/The+10+Best+and+1 ... s/articles

Without getting too far into a political discussion, on the job market front, the game is over in the US. Over 50% of our working age citizens are getting some kind of a government check. either paycheck from a city, county, state or federal job, or an assistance check of some kind. No matter who opposes the current Washington approach, there is little motivation for the majority of people to change what is going on, since any change may mean reductions in their income. Take a look at Greece, with their government trying to institute austerity measures in order to save their economy, and you see our future.
The sad truth is, we do not DO anything in this country anymore, save growing food and harvesting natural resources. There will be a tremendous demand for qualified health care professionals in the future, but there will be no money available to pay them for their investment in education and training. The fundamental truth is - the government does not create wealth, it just distributes it. When there is no wealth being created, and no wages earned that can be taxed, the status quo can not last, much less improve.
I feel sorry for the next generation, because they will be the first generation in this country to live a lifestyle that is not better than their parents.

Backsider are you just as bitter in real life as you portray yourself here? Please don't use the chair card when you reply and please also don't mention your Cannery hit either. For a guy that continually runs other posters into the ground for sharing pictures and stories of their hits you have managed to mention your 20k Cannery hit probably, like, a gazillion times allready.  Now you mention our current President and slam him? Geez, get another hobby besides video poker will you?

Oh tedlark, you missed the mark so much. The difference between my $20k hit and probably a good percentage or all of the others, is that I kept all of it, and even though Im staying just down the road from thousands of machines, I still havent played since.

Something else, I generously tip waiters and waitresses, barkeeps, and just about anyone who goes out of their way to assist me in some manor. They all deserve it; handpay artisis deserve no more than a polite "thank you".

Thats not bitter, thats smart. You want bitter, look for shadowmans reply whenever I say something about video poker that doesnt jive 100% with how his mommy taught him.

Im glad you mentioned the president. Billy summed up the agenda of the most inexperienced phony the White House has ever seen, very nicely.

That is good discipline. So how long do you have to wait until it "counts" and you can try again guilt-free? Or are you done playing for good?

well, I will say that this is a topic that does not require an advanced degeee for a person to have an opinion on.  I pleade quilty  to tiping the hand pay people.  But I do this out of some sort of self imposed pressure, not because I beleive that these people have done anything to justify a tip.  Unlike a waitress these people have done nothing to imporove my enjoyment.  They are doing their job, just like the retail clerks do, for example.  The jobs are not high paying for their jobs are not worth high pay.  However, people in the food and beverage industry get a below minimum wage, so it is expected that they  will make some money from tips. I would like the casinos to tell the public how much money the hand payers get as a wage, and how much money they get from tips.  Once people discover what their total compensation is, then each person can make a judgement from there. Threre are many articles in "Casino Player" about tiping.  The premise is to tip while you are still playing, not once you are done playing.  This seems to make sense to me on two levels.  Neither level applies to hand payers who have nothing to do with the atmosphere of the game that I am playing. Off topic, but related to some prior posts, I agree that Obama might be seen in the fullness of time as one of our worse presidents along with Wilson and FDR.  Currently, this is not the case for many voters.  The former president was not so great either, yet he was reelected.  His father was a better president, but was not reelected.  Election results seem to be as random as video poker.
