Re: I NEVER win playing video poker anymore.
I'll say this; I started playing last year, when we came to South Lake Tahoe after travelling for a year. We, naturally, came to the five casinos there. It was fun, playing small, learning. Not good odds there. We eventually went to Reno. In a 4-5 month period we stayed for free, always, at Grand Sierra Resort, and I hit three Royals, two at two different bars there, and one on the floor. My sig other hit one, also. We had fun there. NO WHERE ELSE IN RENO, OR VEGAS, HAVE WE HAD ANY REAL SUCCESS, SO WE'VE PLAYED SMALL HERE. We are not pros. But, we know what we know.

First off, STOP playing video poker right now, take a forced 4 week break, just STOP playing for the next four weeks, you are in a bad place right now mentally and obviously financially. Honestly re-evaluate your finances and why exactly you are playing video poker. If after four weeks you are calm again, and you are NOT in debt or on thin ice financially, then and only then, it is time to think about resuming video poker play but this time with a PLAN and a CLUE about what to play and HOW to play it.... I strongly suggest STOPPING the Super times rip off right now, it is killing you in more ways than you realize. The "multi hand" craze, as I call it, is driven by one thing only: GREED, on both the players' parts and the casinos (especially the casinos.) Playing 10, 20 , 50 or 100 hands at the same time is ridiculous, all you are doing is taking your exposure and magnifying immensely. Play 1 hand at a time, 25 cents, and then you are still wagering way less money than playing 5 cent Multihand games...that will solve your vanishing bankroll problem to a large degree and limit your losses tremndously, and you therefore will NOT feel as lousy as you do now.... If you dedicate yourself to playing single hand 25 cent, looking for good paytables (or the least BAD ones), eventually you will hit your royal, or a nice Bonus four of a kind and you wil have a big win you can feel good about. The truth is, I have found, is that these gimicky multihand games like supertimes and Ultimatex are just that, gimmicks....the casinos would NEVER put a game out that would HELP you win more and beat them, not in this day and age or economic climate, and these games actually HURT you far more than they help. The few times I have allowed myself to play super times pay and ultimate X, usually 5 or 10 hand, I have noticed without a doubt some disturbing things which make me really suspicious: a) The quality of the starting hands is extremely poor when compared with plain ol' single line games like JOB or Bonus Poker or DDBP. I have studied this viewing both my results of play and several of my friends' results that they collected over the past couple years....you simply get a whole lot of CRAP with these multi hand games, and there is no reason why this should be the case......UNLESS....I wont say it/type it here but you all know where I am going with this.... b) When you finally do get a Bonus pay activated with a game like Supertimes Pay or UltimateX, the above referenced crappy hand phenomenon becomes EVEN worse, you just never seem to catch anything when those multipliers are active. Sure it does happen, but wayyyyy wayyyy too infrequently to make these games anything more than Gimmicks. Just look for a nice 25 cent Progressive and start with that and stick to it, within a good sound bankroll plan for yourself. AND stop TRYING to win and just play.....Royals only come when you are not looking or expecting them, they really dont!

Hi ginfre, I wish, but negative. I needed a name to log on to this site, never dreaming I would be using that name forever on forum and games. A Meijer's bag was staring at me and it's a play on my maiden name. Puleeze do not call me a bag lady! I have thought of changing my alias but still cannot think of anything cute, clever or sexy to change it to and care less in time. I believe the stores are also in Ohio. They are BIG, clean, carry a full line of groceries including great produce. They carry just about anything else you need to use in this lifetime. Good gas prices, too! Just none close to my home. "shop at the store with the cement floor" quipped one comedic.

Yes that is all true. The only times I ever played the multi-hand machines was when I went to casinos that had them and I was deep in the hole and I got on the multi-hand games hoping to get dealt something good and hit a massive payout and get my money back. They just opened a new casino in Maryland which is the closest one to me and it is full of multi-hand machines. I have gone there ONE time and was down $500 real fast and got a lucky break and won it all back plus a little more and got out of there and have never returned. I know in a place like that I have the potential to have a really horrible day. I have stuck to playing my favorite game at Charlestown WV which they dropped to a max 5 credit bet and only .25 cents a credit. There is not the chance there to make those huge payoffs but I can play a long time and even if I have a bad day it will just be hundreds and not thousands of dollars lost.

You are pretty close to the truth, the down word slide started back in about 2008. The country had problems and the casinos were in that group. Nevada had massive home foreclosures and bankruptcy. The casinos tighten up everything. and its has never been the same.I went over to Lake Charles Saturday just to get out of the house. I stayed at the isle of capri and got a free room. six hours of play only hit quads twice for a 250 hit. I was always in the hole.In those 6 hours i did not see one player get a jackpot and get a g4 form. The machines were full.Hell in the old days those girl would be running around handing out those forms like crazy. I left down about 550 to 600 dollars. The only thing that saved me was I play a 25 cent slot that kept in the game.I went to my room about 9pm and the next morning I went over to lac. I got a new players card and went over and played tdb on a dollar machine. 2nd spin I hit 44446 for a 400 dollar win. I went to my car and came home.In the old days I would of stayed for a while, but i have no confidence in the games nowadays.

I started going to the casinos in this area back in 1992, I played all the time, both slots and vp. I really enjoyed it and pretty much played until I got tired and went home, never really lost much money and never gave it much thought. For years I played $2 denomination vp and $1 slots, hit tons of jackpots and saw other people do the same, there were bad days when you couldn't hit anything but they were few and far between for someone with a decent bankroll like myself, I would get behind but I had faith in the games and knew the hits would come and they did. 2008 was about the time I started to notice it was getting tougher, I wasn't hitting as many jackpots and wasn't seeing as many hit around me. All of us that went to the casinos on on a weekly basis started to lose more money, some more than others, most people quit going as often and some quit going all together. I was a little more stubborn and still believed in the statistics so I kept trying to play thru what I thought was just a bad run but it continued to be steady bad. In early 2011 the casinos closed due to flooding, they opened back up after a few weeks and believe it or not play got even worse to the point I pretty much quit playing in that area, very rarely go anymore because it's too expensive to play and I have no faith in their games.
