Mystic Lake & TI in MN

Hello all,
I've read on this forum that the best games to be found in MN are 9/6 DB and 8/5 JOB. Are both of these found at Mystic Lake & TI? Also, is MultiStrike available at these two casinos, and if so, what variety? Thanks in advance.

The best game in MN by far is 200/75/50 One Eyed Jacks. You can find them at TI, the Grands and couple other casinos (not Mystic). The game is the most difficult VP game but even without playing it well it's still much better than the games you mentioned.

Thanks shadowman. I'm heading to MN from Fla and I was hoping to fine tune my VP skills before finally moving to Vegas in a year, unfortunately, it seems MN is not an ideal location for this. Oh well, thanks again.

If you are looking to hone your VP skills then OEJs is probably the best game you can play. It may take you awhile to get good at it, but after you do, any other game will seem like a piece of cake.

The man in the shadows is the expert on this, but my preliminary assessment is that while the perfect play strategy for full pay OEJ can get awfully gnarly, it's fairly forgiving of small errors. 'Frinstance, one can make a pretty high number of wrong choices by VP standards and still wind up with a potential payback near 99+ percent of "perfect." Am I wrong here?

You are right. Once you learn the game, most of the difficulties cause very small losses of EV. OTOH, it does take a fair amount of effort to learn the game.

Took a ride to Treasure Island yesterday and found the full-pay OEJ machines at $1 minimum denomination. There are some strange paytables on the more numerous "Island Poker" quarter machines, including some Bonus Poker outside the poker room paying 10 for a FH and 8 for a FL but only 1 for two pair; VIPoker makes the expected return out to be 92.8 percent, not good. I did hit quad deuces for $50 on one only to run all that and eight bucks more back through before a table poker seat opened. But other than $1 full pay )EJ your best bet there may be in the poker room or at the blackjack tables.

TI also has 3 banks of .25 OEJs. I got to the $ bank early and played until around 11 AM (and did quite well.)
