Aquaduct Genie-Unreal
I have to share an interesting hand last night while playing .25 DB last night at Aqueduct Racino. Playing at the Bar on third floor. The VP machines at Aqueduct will have a random genie appear after you draw your second hand. The Genie will change your cards. Usually a low paying hand will result. However, in this instance, I held the Jack and Queen of Hearts. The genie appeared and changes the other 3 cards to complete a Royal Flush! Unreal! I would like to add that not 2 hours prior another person was playing same game (different machine) had 4 to a royal and hit. I always questioned if was even possible to get a Royal there.............. UNREAL

Normal operation of a Class II video lottery terminal. Congrats.

Yes, it most likely is a VLT and the return is probably much lower than the pay table might have you think.

TKO, that's impressive. I saw a genie hand turn into a straight flush once at Empire City, but never that ... I also hit a RF on a one-card draw at Aqueduct a few months ago at the ground floor bar.
The downer is the W2G on a $1,000 win since anything over $600 is considered a jackpot by the NYS Lottery

The genie usually only comes out if an unusual or incorrect hold is made (not saying that you did in this instance). Just out of curiosity, do you remember the first five cards?

Tom Cat,
I cannot remember the first 5 cards. In fact, when I discarded the other three, holding the jh and qh, I was orderinger a beer when the Genie came out. As you know I really wasent expecting anything and then the RF. I was like....really? Glad to hear you have also hit RF there. I know these machines are VTL's but I do have some good luck on them. 4 Ace (800 credits) is not uncommon.

These are Class II machines, which work more like a slot machine than a VP machine. You could be playing any of the common VP games, but winning is just like on a slot machine rather than a random draw of cards.
Before they were allowed to bring in Class III machines, the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa had these. You could not discard a winning hand. If you were dealt a Straight Flush, you could discard it, and you would draw one in another suit.

Think of them as video scratch off tickets. That's all we have around here.
