Slot Techs playing musical chairs again
For those who play vp at Mohegan, make sure to re check your pay tables before playing even if you have checked your favorite machine before. The other day, in the middle of the night, the techs were busy lowering paytables again especially on the 9/6 machines and either moving them somewhere else or just downgrading them altogether. This is done without moving the machines at all. Usually 2 or 3 together at one machine, comparing notes, programing instructions, etc. and working on the insides of the machine. Of course this is done at management direction. Also I was told by a cleaning crew that my section was being shut down. No warning or anything like (an hours notice would have been nice). I of course protested and spoke to a couple of supervisors, but other than an apology for not giving me a warning, no compensation was offered at all. Last time this happened at Foxwoods, at least I was offered a 20- comp for dinner. JMO, but they really don't care much about VP players anymore. Maybe when some more competition gets here, the tune will change, but I have my doubts. Bottom line.....CHECK THOSE PAYTABLES EVERY TIME BEFORE YOU PLAY....

good post..... Now everyone can start to grasp why I choose to go 5 hours away to AC to play VP instead of 70 minutes across the state line to the backwaters of southern Connecticut.

Glad we got to play the 9/6 JOB on our trip last month. Hope they didn't read our post about 9/6 and decide they'd missed some.

Last trip around the block at the casino revealed quite a few 9/6 games left. I will report back off and on if there any major changes. All of them are no points paid machines, but at over 400- cycled through to earn 1 point, this is not a big deal anymore. I get to Foxwoods much less often, but will do the same while getting my exercise up there.

Pointing out to DaBurglar that driving hours and hours to AC is pointless (especially if he thinks the machines are non-random) because these machines at Mohegan Sun have to be random. Otherwise, Mohegan Sun shouldn't be lowering paytables.
