Very strange Royal Flush
This just happened at Mohegan Sun in Ct. The pattern seems to be continuing of not giving Royals on time even over time, but that is not why I am writing. This time it was about 105,000 hands though between Royals. Anyway, after playing a 9/6 JOB machine for seveal hours and holding my own, my screen shrank to about half size and a message appeared to call attendant. You normally see this message when a Jackpot hits and the screen shrinks so the slot attendant can push a few buttons to get a key pad to come up and input their employee number etc. This happened at the end of a nothing hand. Since I was in auto mode anyway, I naturally hit deal with the shrunk screen and above message. It dealt me 4 to a Royal in Diamonds and I was able to pull the Ace I needed for a nice hit. Then the music started playing as usual. But to me, it was like the machine knew ahead of time that the Royal was coming which would be impossible with RNG. The only other thing I thought of was a machine malfunction causing the attendant message ahead of time, but then why did the machine let me deal the cards after the message appeared. Any feedback of any similar experiences would be appreciated. Also the slot attendant that came did have a very hard time getting the machine to take his code and he had to get someone to help. Then they were quietly talking about that issue. It also took them almost an hour to pay me which is very unusual and the casino was not busy at all at this off peak hour.

Congrats! But what a creepy story and no, I have never experienced similar. It did seem to take forever to get a hand pay at Greektown this week. I had the MI state taxes removed and the attendant said she had to wait in the cashier line to have the taxes removed from my paperwork. I keep forgetting to make a note of the attendant's name before they leave with my license, in case I want to check on their whereabouts OR they never return! She was gone SO long that three other attendants stopped by to see if anyone was helping me! I see it as a casino's potential advantage to pay off ASAP so we might have more time to play that $ back before having to leave the bldg!

olds442jetaway, congratulation on the hit, and now my suspicion is kicking in, buy everything that you wrote in your above post would make me think the exact same thing your thinking, the machine new or like you said had malfunction, my mind what are the chances hand before RF acted like it was doing a jackpot? At Foxwoods on Jackpots screen stays the same message comes up pays this amount and slot people come over and use there card in machine, I think its somekind of verification. I think about 3 month ago was dealt RF first five cards in the Great Cedar casino, the machine didn't freeze up and it was a Progressive RF it was under $1200 I wanted wife to see so she finally look over and I had her come over and look at it after she look at it I hit cash out button and it gave me the $1126 no slot person had to come over. Now 3 weeks ago we were at Foxwoods but only played at MGM they have progressive machine for DDB and other game on same machines I was playing TDB(wrote about this in other post)end up Four aces and think 2 kicker for $1000 well in other post I don't think said this but I said to slot(person who was going to pay me) why cant I just cash out its only $1000 she said its progressive machine cant do that, I said TDB is not Prog. VP she said it part of the same machine and I told her about the hitting progressive a few weeks before in Great cedar and I cash it out and needed no slot person, she look at me like deer in head lights. Now my wife was sitting right next me heard the whole thing it like this slot person wanted to argue with me(you don't earn good tips that way)even wife said wow about the way she acted. I said to wife what do you think should give her for tip nothing, she(wife) knows I like to give when have extra but only gave her $10. Sorry olds442jetaway went off long story.(lol) Sam P.S. I am interested if somebody had something like what you had, almost looks (rigged) oh we cant use that word.(lol)

I hope DaBurglar reads this one. Now I am wondering Sam if the casino read my post about trashing the new tier system, panicked, and gave me that Royal....LOL....see you all soon at Foxwoods....

If in fact it happened just as you described it, then either it's not Nevada-class vp or else it's a huge coincidence that the machine malfunctioned and seconds later you pulled a royal. It is not out of the whelm of chance that such a coincidence occurred, but I think it is more likely that you were playing a type of vp that is not Nevada-class. The fact that the casino did not pull the ole "machine malfunction" excuse and refuse to pay you indicates to me that the referee, upon review, ruled the infraction to be coincidence.

Unusual to say the least. Sounds like a class II machine buy need more input to make that determination. Nice hit nonetheless.

Yep, seems odd to me. The gaming compact doesn't forbid them from offering Class II either. It just allows them to offer Class III.
(e) Status of Class II gaming. Nothing in this Compact shall be deemed to affect the operation by the Tribe of any Class II Gaming as defined in the Act, whether conducted within or without the gaming facilities, or to confer upon the State any jurisdiction over such Class II Gaming conducted by the Tribe on its Reservation.

It definitely could be a weird coincidence too. If he is unsure, you can try to "test" the machines to make sure they aren't Class II. You don't see a bingo card, right?

I would expect them to be since many Indian casinos that can offer Class III often do so exclusively. But they are legally able to offer either if they wish to.

On my next trip up, I am going to ask either the gaming commission or someone else in authority if they are using any class 2 machines up there. Hopefully, I will get a straight answer.
