Big help from the Dream Card

Post by mugrat »

Knowing you're about to hit the jackpot before the machine actually shows it, is definitely a kick. For those unfamiliar with Dream Card, for a double wager, a wild card or "Dream Card" randomly appears and then becomes whatever card completes the best possible hand. In my case, it was the 4th ace. The fun part is that you see the dream card symbol before you see what card it becomes, even though you likely already know what card would help you the most.

I know the feeling, I've hit a Dream Card at Four Winds in New Buffalo, MI a few times. In one session I got a dealt Dream Card royal on a .05 denomination 10 play TDB and I got dealt quad 4's with a 3 twice. In another session I was playing .10 denomination 10 play TDB and was dealt quad 3's with a 4, then 4 aces with a 4 (this autoheld) and aces again but not with a kicker though.

Congratulations to you, here's hoping you get it again.

Thanks. This was at the new Sugarhouse Casino in Philadelphia (actually not that new anymore). It was the first time I ever played this particular game though.

Thanks. It sounds like you know Dream Card TDB quite well. My hit also auto held. Best of luck to you.

Nice hit!!

And yeah pretty good paytable for PA, and also the highest Dream Card available for TDB since offering 9/7 with Dream Card would be a worse payout than offering regular 9/7 TDB.

I have seen 9/7 TDB in DoublePay, but not DreamCard, in the casinos that I frequent.

Truth be told, this is truly the game that has killed me this past year in AC, at Caesars....well, one of the games.

I am in AC right at this moment, and once again it is a shambles VP and gaming wise, but it did not start out that way (I have been here since Sunday, September 8).....instead of two trips a month, I have cut back to one week long trip per month since last March, in the heat of everyone griping about my griping about AC.  Some said "cut back, take a break" so I have, and the only thing that has happened is my ratings have plummeted due to the lessened play!   Actually, my ratings also have plummeted due to the fact I can no longer win SPIT!!!   I mean this is the absolute WORST stretch/run of VP in my entire life, and that is saying a lot.   I have played VP since 1992, 20 plus years in Vegas and Reno, and the last 4 in AC (plus smaller trips and experiences in places like mohegan and foxwoods)

I hate to say it folks, but AC is still the absolute pits and I am more convinced than ever it is partly because they "mess" with some of their machines, including it now seems these five star machines with dreamcard.

Before I write any more about my woes, CONGRATS TO THE POSTER OF THIS THREAD on his hit in Philly.

When the Five star machines first showed up in Caesars AC back in early 2012, I had a HUGE run of seemingly unearthly good fortune.   I mean I KILLED the dreamcard game at the 25 cent level from MArch thru June 2012.   I hit several Royals (got dealt and dreamcarded three of them)  and I hit a few TDB Acess and the 2/3/4s with kickers.   But the really Amazing fun thing about dreamcard early on back then was Bonus Poker Deluxe, where quads pay 400 no matter what.   I had a few sessions where I just hit the quads seemingly evry other time drawing with three of a kind.  The dreamcard helped a lot here too, it would give me the three of a kind and I would draw four the fourth and BOOM, it kept hitting.

But while this run of huge luck with the dreamcard was happening, NOTHING else I played anywhere else was hitting, I mean nothing.    And then......After July 2012, those dreamcards just stopped, and they have not been back since AT ALL.   Month after Month, I sit down at those five star machines, and NOTHING,,,just DUD AFTER DUD.

Here is the latest example and why my Diamond status is in serious jeapoardy:

On Wednesday, I lost almost $500 playing dreamcard at Caesars, and it earned me a whopping 114 tier points!!!!!     At 25 cents, you play four hands for 1 tier point, so in 556 hands ($1,114 coin in) I blew 500.   I stopped, but this has been going on since A year ago.   Then today, Friday the 13, I just lost another 350 on the same game same place....99 tier points!!!!

Whats worse, other family and friends who play this game report the same results, with a few lone bright spots (my cousin hit a royal but was NOT helped by a dreamcard to get it.....anotherfriend 3 months ago had 3 premium quads, but again, only one of them was due to a dream card)    I honestly think the game had been "toned down".....

I had to post this after reading the thread and my latest disasters, I just could not resist.

I know some of you HATE me telling my tales of woe from AC, but I am sorry, it is the truth and this is my experience.   WHat do you want me to do lie?  paint  a rosier picture (which is just another  type of lying)??

I have some more Info from the NJ gaming people....I never did talk to the attorney ("lon") despite three calls to him, but two staff people in the office on Tennessee Avenue did speak to him about some of my issues so I do have feedback albeit via third party communique.   i will put this in a different thread since I highjacked this guys thread enough already.
