I find it interesting to see what people enjoy looking at everyday. I guess I'm just nosey at heart lol

Surely, I am not the only one who wonders about the story behind the selection of "Galeygoo" as an alias!

olds, We want to see your bobcat pic. Why not make it your profile pic for awhile and post here when that is available so we can look it up. Most of my husband's Mackinac Island grand view is now on for my profile but the small profile pic hardly does it justice. (I also do not know how to post it here.) Other posters here can do likewise. Adding or changing a photo, that is already in "my pictures" or "videos" or "documents" or "new documents" on your computer, to your profile is easily done: click MY PLAYER PAGE, top heading under Interact, red print on black background. Check out Player Directory to look up profiles by adding member's nickname. (there are 1444 members listed under T)

Don't feel bad Vman...I had windows wallpaper since I got my computer back after xp/hard drive crash. Only recently did I find an icon where the computer store had recovered some of my pics and in it was my Bobcat pic. He is back on the screen now! I would attach a copy of him and post, but I don't know how to do it. I can barely get by with computers having grown up with a slide rule in a leather case with me most of the time. I also remember my former employer paying $ 80- for a large clumsy hand held TI calculator. That was a really big deal. I think it was in the early 70's. I really have to bone up on my stat stuff. I even forget what most of the symbols mean. Think I still have my book from UCONN over at my parents house. While I am thinking of it, what are the odds of any dealt hand coming out in the exact order and suit. For instance, 5 of clubs, 7 of hearts, Ace of spades, 10 of diamonds, and 9 of clubs? I'm guessing every dealt hand would have the same odds of coming out that way. So that also means every hand we are dealt is a real long shot lol.....
As for me - used slide rule:CHECK, had a TI calculator when they came out:CHECK, still have hardcover books from college with mounts of statistic and probability equations:CHECK.
As for the odds of a particular card coming out in a particular position on a deal, it is just arithmetic, since the starting number of cards is fixed at 52 (assuming a normal deck). I do not know the answer, but I am sure that it can be easily calculated.

Sorry to disappoint you, Marie, but no story at all....just some silliness...

Oh Galeygoo, YOU can tell us. We can keep a secret!HOWEVER, if you stick to that story, it was clever thinking on your part if you wanted something catchy for us to remember you by! BTW, cute idea for a forum topic. Keep those ideas coming!

While I try to figure out how to get my Bobcat pic on here from my computer, you can view a few other neat pics of Bobcats in Bethany, Ct. Easy find on the net. Just Google" Bobcat Bethany" and a couple of links with photos will come right up. They are from local papers. One has his/her breakfast ( a squirrel) in its mouth. The other link shows one with its classic Bob tail just trotting along.
